Giga Wing Generations and Samurai Aces just arrived in the post.

Both games have 60htz modes and score saving abilities.

GWG Doesn't have a TATE mode, just arcade mode (big borders on each side) and original mode (stretched screen). Load times are pain in the ass. And the game itself, well I havn't put a huge amount of time into it yet but I already hate it. Seems horribly jerky, the ship blurs as it moves around and it's just generally not a very nice game to play. And it looks like shit too. I loved the first Giga Wing, this is just a mess!

Samurai Aces seems fine, it has two screen options, horizontal and vertical. Load times aren't bad and I've not noticed any issues with the sound or graphics yet, nice :D

505 Gamestreet have re-classified Homura and Raiden III as full price games - seems they will no longer be budget titles:

Dragon Blaze, et al, will still be budget releases:

Meh, even their full price games are usually pretty cheap, Guilty Gear Isuka is £15 everywhere. I wouldnt expect to have to pay anymore than £20 for either of those shmups.

Anyone else notice that ESP Fighters isn't on the Xbox release list anymore?

Can anyone give me an idea if these shmups have the same options as the JP releases?

Gigawing Generations
Gunbird Collection
Psikyo Collection 2
Psikyo Collection 3
Psyvariar
XII Stag

Also, anyone willing to pick these guys up for me and ship 'em out? I'd be back for Raiden III and Homura at some point as well ;).

CDRs are Compact Disc Read-Only, meaning better quality. It's just a term they use for CDs as opposed to DVDs. CDRW is the crap you want to avoid.

As for PAL releases...once again, EUROPE, YOU SUCK.

Especially in the case of Homura.

Actually...no...I take that back...you don't suck...AMERICA AND FRIGGAN GEORGE "WASHBOARD" BUSH SUCK....

I wanna move....so bad.
The world would be a better place if there were less shooters and more dot-eaters.

As I said before, at the prices these games are going at, you can get the JP versions for about the same cost so it's no real biggie.

Eh?

Gigawing

Sengoku pack

Again, if anyone can hook a brother up...

Shoot, I'd even buy them and have them shipped to your addy if you could ship them over here when they all got there. Kind of like Celga for the UK ;).

Well, excepting shipping (which would be hefty anyway to the US), Lik-Sang has the Asian version of Giga Wing Generations for $20. I got a sealed copy of the JP Sengoku pack with the bonus DVD for $17 on Ebay (not including shipping) so I stand by my statement that the prices are pretty much the same shipped to the US.

I see Raiden 3 was priced into their £30 range (it was 20) but i suspect they know they can make a few more squid from hardcore shooter fans.

Bastards.

(edit) - opps - someone posted that!!!!

Oh, right. It's really good. Is that enough?

But really, I've not played this one before yesterday and I'm enjoying it a lot. Classic Psikyo but in a horizontal shmup, hard as fuck as per ususal, looks very nice (im a sucker for paralax scroling), plus it has 60htz mode and save options. And it's very cheap too, cant go wrong with this one.

Play.com claim they have no more Tengai in stock :-(
Anyway, it's great to know it has 60 Hz+saves, chances are Homura will have those too.

(stupid question, Tengai is ace + blade, right ?)

I'm sure Homura and Raiden III will have all thos things. 505 Gamestreet hasn't let us down yet.

Tengai is just Blade, Ace is the seperate Samurai Aces. Quite why they were seperated I dont know.

No screen blurring like Metal Slug 3 PAL?
Or graphic flickering like the Gunbird SE?

I ask because my eyes bleed if graphic is too blurred. Thanks!

i would just like to mention, GWG has a save option but it takes exactly 40 seconds to save every time. if you turn auto save on it will even save when nothing has changed, and it will take 40 seconds every time.

since the save file is just over 80kb this is unexplainable.

btw i just got gwg from a second hand shop for £10. apparently it hasnt been released in shops at all.

As far as I can tell, it's all really sharp. Looks nicer than Gunbird SE anyway. 505 Gamestreet seem to do a pretty good job on their stuff.

From the sound of that I'd be worried what it is doing to my memory card. Especially in light of potentially fatal ps2 memory card management bugs present in major releases like Soul Calibur III...

Saw that some of the Taito games are being released individually. Scratch everything that I said about saving money buying PAL!

Yeah, it's awful. What's worse, it's typical Italian greed. (505 is Italian, you know).

Oh well, I suppose there's to be grateful that in some way they did bring them over here. Although I like Xplosiv better, honestly.

erm, I dont think this forum should have racist comments on it, even if you are being ironic.

The games are really cheap, Im fine paying £10 for these shooters individually.

Is it racism to spot and describe a population behavior, even if like all generalizations it's mostly stereotype?

If it sounded offensive to anyone I take it back. ^_^

Fine, what separes the wise one from the stupid is that the first is willing to admit when he is wrong.

I was wrong, and I apologize to all.
