Still struggling with the game despite unlocking six credits already... How long does it take to unlock more credits in the game, again?

Can't help but think I opened Pandora's Box playing this game... It's hard as hell and I can't reach Stage 6C no matter what I do. It's no wonder why games like this aren't released across America.

I put about 10-20 credits into BD while it was at the late Southtown Arcade in San Francisco. Excellent soundtrack and some fun bosses, but scoring routes rely on being on specific borders it seems; a single death can throw a run entirely out of order. Not for the faint of heart.
