Sorry to hear about your diabetes, Malc. You have to keep your eye on it and watch your carb intake and aim for a balanced lifestyle.

THE RETURN!! The xenocide files were like a bible to me.
Hmmm.. so what's changed, well see my sig? Fireshark is worth closer to $400 now (for a while it peaked at closer to $600!)

My god, I have a sick, dyslexic mind - I read that as "I am just sitting down on a Darius 34"er" :D

Enjoy it, Malc

Hey malc,
Do you remember the font you used for the orange Xenocide Files page title images on the old site?
And do you still have the image you used to make that masking effect on the font?

This is to add categories inside xenocidefiles.html and keep the look consistent.

Malc,

Glad to see you come around. I don't post often but will usually browse the forum a few times a week.

Anyways I wanted to thank you for starting your site and keeping the spirit alive in the forums. The original site had a profound influence on my life as a gamer. I always loved shooters but your site really showed me that others had the same passion for them. I no longer felt alone as all gamers I know are more Call of Duty if you know what I mean. Thank you!

Have to echo stoneroses above - this community's collective gaming love saved me a lot of wandering and hassle. Let me realise what I had before it was gone, always a blessing. ^__^ Ta malc!

Ahah - found it. The font is SirClive (cool Speccy font) and the image used is here too: shmups.com/stuff.zip

Let's have a look at what you are up to when you have titles in! :) Malc

Hey malc,

Thanks for starting the site so many years ago.
You are the reason I'm still shooting the core today. :P

All those game listings on the main site kept me in the genre.
I think the site itself helped keep attention on the genre in the west here.

Thanks!
Pixel_Outlaw (but you knew that already)
Some of the best shmups don't actually end in a vowel.
No, this game is not Space Invaders.
