What a find! You guys really struck gold. Thanks for the effort to conserve this, the game looks really cool; especially dig the dramatic attract mode, hehe.

Another amazing lost shmup story. You guys are the Indiana Jones of STGs.

Is this a game nobody ever heard of before or was it referenced somewhere as a lost shmup ?

As mentioned in this thread, it's been in MAME's undumped games list for a while, albeit with screenshots from a different version.

Did anybody else notice that HAMMER is built from the initials of the individuals listed on the "curtain" ?

Cool find! I thought the title might be a reference to the game lacking autofire or something.

Would it be okay in asking which city was this found?
Lisbon's district.

yup, i noticed but have no clue if it is game related or just an inside joke, like the Devs names or something.

great reading material mate :)
i forgot to mention that even on real hardware the rom test fails. it test a couple of roms (some show as good other as bad) but then it simply "hangs" forever, you have to reset the game.

yeah, same, all 4 roms fail (hardware can't read the gfx roms, so can only test the program) some rams pass quickly, then some others take a very long time (it does actually finish if you leave it for long enough!)

This game is pure quality, been playing it quite a bit. Makes me wonder if its really a prototype or a location test as Ed Oscuro mentioned.

Like so many other canceled arcade games, it failed at location tests.

It looks fully complete to me too, but i found something odd (could only play once until now, no time...) and would like to hear your input on this:

On the last level, when the images starts to "speed up" during the scene where the big plane takes off, i died once. After that, you respawn and go to the beginning of the landing track, but the screen is always at "normal speed" and the big plane is left behind. After this, you go for like 2 or 3 minutes with preety much nothing going on until you leave that track an enter the jungle area again and that's it, end of game and loop 2.

Did you experienced this?

Here's one I made earlier. Also supports Noodlesoup Futanari Interracial version, just transplant the roms accordingly.

This game feels like proto-Under Defeat with the left/right angling and the ground shots.
