And his favorite Toaplan game is Fire Shark. Maybe you have to experience the arcade version to truly appreciate it? I have the Genesis version and like it for what it is; however, it's all a bit too traditional, with nothing mind-blowing going on. I was, however, fortunate enough to have played both the arcade versions of Batsugun and Dogyuun back in the 90s. Both were OMG experiences at the time. I was living in South Korea when Batsugun was released for Saturn, and I didn't even ask the price when handing the store owner the money. I didn't care. A disk-based Saturn version of Fire Shark wouldn't have elicited the same feelings. Though it really is a pisser that we haven't seen any Toaplan compilations for home console. Well, other than Toaplan Shooting Battle 1 for PS1, which was underwhelming for me.
