I believe it just sorta enhances enemies in the dark so they are easier to see. Essentially night vision, I suppose.

I think the GOG edition actually comes with that expansion.
Whoops, it's Sunstorm Interactive.

There are two expansions for Shadow Warrior, this is the "lost" one. GoG can't sell it since it's free.

Between Blood and Quake mods (sheesh, the Rogue Entertainment one is nuts) I'm almost done with the "headliner" FPSes of yore, I think, though there are still surprises out there waiting to be found. And there's still the Marathon games (a little progress in each but they are all very long.)

Don't you just love it when you complete a stage, and the stats tell you there's one secret that you missed?

Seems to be an all-the-time thing in old FPSes. Build Engine games especially seem to have like 5 to 11 secrets per map and I usually only find one or two of them. Like E1M1 of Duke 3D has a secret I still haven't found, and it drives me freaking nuts (and no, it's not the one you need a jetpack for--I've found that one).

With Blood, I've found all the secrets in E1M1 (one of the benefits of my "no save scumming" policy is that replaying a stage sometimes gives you a fresh perspective and you think of things you didn't think of before), but there's precisely one I haven't found in E1M2. I do, however, love what happens if you try to walk down the tunnel. Best. Easter Egg. Ever.
