Hmm... i think i saw a topic similar to this one a couple of months ago... but it's interesting so here goes anyway.

While i do not have any phobias the thing that scares me the most would be for one of my near and dear to get affected by something that was beyond my ability to do something about.
I guess previous experiences of similar situations and me being a bit of a control... lover makes that the scariest imaginable scenario.

Ah, cmon, entropy and spiders are about the coolest things in this universe.

Getting my home burglarized while I'm sleeping or listening music in obscene volumes(again *sigh*)
Getting killed or robbed in this hellhole in general
Camera lenses pointing at me, if "paranoia fear" counts
That whenever I'm watching anime and one some annoying character lets out a loud squirm the neighbours listen and get wrong ideas

I wouldn't call this a fear. More like a worry but.

I'm afraid of dying alone.

Snakes and insane heights.
For some reason, the heights thing seems to be a recent fear of mine. I don't mind it when I fly, but if I'm standing on some tall building or whatever, I get that cold sweat feeling.

Recently I saw a video of some guy using a GoPro camera whilst scaling one of those tall cell phone towers. Just watching that video made me feel nervous.

public speaking is the worst, to the point where I started taking propranolol before doing a presentation in college

Does it actually work? I am seriously considering buying some for my upcoming Spring semester when I have to retake my public speech class that I miserably failed even though I attended every session last fall.

Just get drunk and do your speech. Works every time.

No, it doesn't. I've done it already. My mind went blank as always but the alcohol added an extra handicap - I couldn't even understand my own writing on the notes :lol:. Always fun to remember that day with friends though

About the propranolol - I think it helped me loosen up only a little bit, during some moments. I'm not sure actually. I always feel miserable after speeches anyway. Don't get your hopes up.

Chinese alligators are smaller but their bellies are fully armored so it kinda equals out.

My biggest fear is being digested alive.

Thankfully, there are few creatures that could pull that off on this planet.

* being locked up or held against my will.
* being trapped under an object where I can't move for a long period of time.
* getting dizzy and having it not stop.
* terminal illness
* breaking a bone... I haven't ever broken anything :/
