Old-fashioned fast firing I'd think. I like to press the key down and just have it go. (Maybe I'm actually going to turn out better suited with the rubber dome keys after all!)

Nice graphs, but do you have one for the clear switches?
I wouldn't recommend Blue switches for games that require you to tap a key for a long time. Arcade sticks are better suited for that. But I also wouldn't recommend Brown switches for that.
Arcade sticks are out for me - no arguing please! (Which isn't to say that I don't like arcade sticks, but I want the flexibility of different options which are all suitable - I've already discussed arrow keys vs. shafts and don't want to bring it up unnecessarily.)
Blacks are the most common in gaming gear. For example Steelseries uses them. They require more force, which means that you will less likely accidentally activate a key.
This also should make them more fatiguing when using a keyboard for a long period - as I do. (I don't use the keyboard only for gaming, after all, but to write papers and stuff.)
You should be able to test at least black/red switches in a store. There are some mainstream gaming keyboards that should be on display. Look at the more expensive ones and look at the box or check with your smartphone what kind of switches they use. Finding a keyboard with Brown switches in a store might be hard though.
Yeah, I know I can look up some mainstream keyboards, Logitech and so on, and hopefully find samples of them. I still might not be able to, if there's just laptops, pads, and small-form PCs with their bundled-in keyboard for the display, and the keyboards are all up on a shelf in a box. But it's worth a shot, so I will take your advice and give it a try.

Now that you mentioned Logitech... the Logitech G710+ does have Cherry MX Brown switches. That one might be on display in a store. But I think it has rubber rings under the keys to make it more silent.
