Ecole (Arcana Heart) and French Bread (UNIB, Melty Blood) confirmed as developers. So maybe there's hope for the game after all.

Ecole made MB AC, not AH.
The game is being directed by Sega’s Takaharu Terada, who previously served as director on the original Valkyria Chronicles for PlayStation 3.

Is it just the video running at a low frame rate, or do the characters only have like 1-2 frames of animation per attack? The character animation looks really choppy, even the Fist of the North Star fighting game looks smooth after watching this.

They keep telling me the check's in the mail, but...

In seriousness, they're a good site for weird stuff like this that others prefer to bypass (in some cases I can't blame them, but of course I can't look away, myself), so I link them a lot. :)

Hmmm, my interest in this just went up a lot. Hoping it's more Melty Blood and less Arcana though.

Don't worry about it. You can travel from the Milky Way to Andromeda and back 1500 times before the sun explodes.

I don't watch enough anime to know who any of these characters are, but some of you might.

Kino in a support role and a loli basketball player as a playable character?

What a waste...

Meh, the characters do not look original, or different. It looks like a school girl military thing going on. I like thick thighs and all, but the fashion and hair is bland. I wish it would have some body in that hair, and some frills in those dresses. Something that pops out. Everything looks bland, just the way the young people of this generation likes it.

I will be honest, one day Japan might turn into another China. Without their fiction, arts and crafts, that is just what they are. Another China. SONY losing their symbolized television name shake, the sinking island theory, and the power plant problem is part of that.

That's because they're all anime characters...

Just in case this game wasn't already goofy enough, apparently there's a personified Dreamcast in the mix someplace.

In case no one has actually played this, I gave it a shot at the arcade with Shana. It's incredibly boring and very simplistic. There's not a lot of freedom in what you can do, and the characters only have a few uninteresting moves. Compared to other combo heavy "anime" fighters, this one is extremely mediocre.

Too bad - nothing warms my heart more than a well-made fighter that the "hardcore" base vehemently refuses to touch because it's "gay-looking." Guess this isn't one of them.

On a hopefully more positive note, Under Night In-Birth has been mentioned a few times in here, and it's being localized.
