I can't live without Super Famicom artwork. Probably the greatest VG packaging ever. Nothing gets me in the mood for a gaming session like a good box and instructions.
I just got shades of Flying Hero (a game known for being super cheap in Akihabara, but near impossible to find)
weird - i sold my Flying Hero on here and i could have sworn i'd sold it to you! I guess not #oldmanbrain
But yeah, i have a whole bunch (200+ ?) loose SNES/SFC carts and it just doesn't have the same magic as a wall full of (largely) good condition boxed SFC games - there's really somethign about a well tended box (#ooohmatron). Given that they are easily damaged then it makes finding one in mint condition all that bit more special.
But that said - as you mention - a lot of the saught after games are available in aki at good prices. Hamelin no Violin Hiki springs to mind - seen a few copies recently at the 800 yen mark which , if i hadn't decided to sell of all my junk, would have been taking the trip home with me.

Yep, I put Hamelin in the same arena as Valken: incredible game, bewilderingly cheap. You wouldn't know from the £40 it costs on eBay though.
You didn't sell me your FH, but I wanted it! I think some cheeky beggar stole in before me and picked it up - that's why you remember chatting to me about it.
Still, patience! Not going to be so snappy with that one as I've got good info it floats around Aki for very little. If any of you Tokyo boys want to keep an eye out, and stumble on a CIB one (doesn't have to be factory new, but good condition) I'll happily reimburse + something for your trouble.
