I think I've only found one person who accidentally used Minzoku [not here], and I'm NEVER changing my avatar :) SO THERE

[the English version of my handle, though, somebody stole it blatantly via a third party... long story]

OK, with "Rob." continuing to post threads outside of trading station maybe it's time for a name change. Come on, it's just retarded.

A few people have mentioned temporary confusion about the names, which is enough reason. I have my own crap threads to be associated with.

I haven't ever confused the two of you. The period and completely different avatar give it away no matter how many shades of gray I might be at any given time...

Some people aren't as perceptive.

I weep for humanity.

You can't see the tears because I've got my shades on, however. 8)

Plus, I'm sitting at a computer at the other end of the internet. Still, the pain lingers.

Doing a google search, I saw no-one else ever using this nickname online. Nonexistant problem for me then. I agree you shouldnt have very similar names posting on the trade boards, that might cause harmful confusion.

Personally what i find more annoying is when people change avatars. I'm a visual person so i associate the personality with the avatar, hardly noticing the nickname.

So when someone changes their avatar i'm completely lost, trying to remember who it was by figuring out what their previous avatar was. And people who don't use avatars are all one collective personality. :) Except moozooh and a couple others that stand out. :P

Heh, I'm the same. I barely even register the nicknames, I just recognize posters by their avatar. And when somebody changes theirs...

"Hey, who's this new guy? Seems pretty smart...posts almost like...oh, it is him."
No matter how good a game is, somebody will always hate it. No matter how bad a game is, somebody will always love it.

Haha, thanks! I'm considering an avatar, but I haven't yet thought which of them to choose. I have one main avatar that's pretty distinct (the reason I can't use it everywhere: it can be quite distracting on non-image-heavy boards like this or TASvideos), and a set of avatars I call "ugly depicted scientists". They include:

(Now, as a sidequest, try to guess what names are hidden behind these deranged, heavily deformed grannies.)

As for the main topic, moozooh is pretty much unique (except I've seen it used as a word in some odd language, but it's not prevalent); the only bad thing about it is that it gets misspelled about 1/3 of the time, pretty consistently at that. Examples include any combinations of less-than-four "o"s, stuff like "moozah", etc.

I vowed I would never change my avatar. The sight of Sonic reminding me not to smoke in a battered old arcade in North London was too much of a lure, though.

But haven't you changed your name and avatar Mr Prolapse? Or am I being dumb?

What was the arcade - is it still there?

Yup, I caved.

And the arcade is the Sega Park at Oriental City in North (west?) London. Apparently it was once brave and proud, but now it's just a bunch of fruit machines and lightgun games. There's still a huge, Sonic 1 era Sonic mural outside though. Memories of splendour...
