And it's back on ebay, because the first buyer refused to pay.

The seller also twittered another photo, to show he really has the dev kit: https://twitter.com/superDaE/status/235 ... to/1/large

ohh wow! somebody having something they shouldn't. this is interesting looking to say the least, and whoever buys it, more than likely will get tracked down and have it taken back by microsoft if this isn't an inside job to begin with.

there should be a big counter on the forum home page that clicks every time a thread turns into bullshit.

That makes zero sense that they wouldn't just sell to the runner up. I've done that so many times that, asside from the initial disappointment at someone's irresponsibility, it almost doesn't matter that the winner didn't pay. Losing 1 or 2 % on an item that totally blew up is hard to really care about.

Unless he thought he could get more by relisting. The part that really makes no sense is that he ended the first auction early.

Looks like ebay has removed the auction.

Now an obvious scammer has photoshopped his username into one of the original images and started this auction: http://www.ebay.com/itm/110936402640

This looks shopped I can tell from the pixels and I've seen a lot of shops in my time.

More like windows painted. It's terrible. They didn't even match the paper color proper.

Lol, that's just like eBay. Let it get really juicy and then pull it. Maybe the guy has contacts to make the sale now, though.

I don't know about the legalities of this, but I would be damn concerned that this was inviting a shitload of charges that'd keep me out of the light of day for a long while. $40K ain't enough for the trouble.

No doubt eBay has done him a favor either way.
