I'm using mame++ and it always says "cheats not found, please unzip them and place them in the mame directory"

How about the second stage? Solved that one without bombing yet? :D
I don't know about starting from round 2 with default power, but last year or the year before I learned how to fullchain 2-2 :x I used Prometheus's methodology, as found in THE FULL EXTENT OF THE JAM. I just can't really stand playing the game. It's...DDP. DDP and I have some issues to work out. Some day.

Full-chaining is not the problem; the game chains itself on the second loop anyway. The problem, as I see it, is surviving at low power. I'm basically forced to use at least two bombs on the stage: one near the cannon tower and one at the large tank.

As I said,
I don't know about starting from round 2 with default power
but maybe some time this week I'll spend an afternoon with it. I'll probably just start a(n) SD for it. We can just compile as many strategies as people can make. I was thinking a post for full/partial strat write-ups, then individual posts for each stage. Extra posts for bosses (one for low-tier difficulty, one for mid-, one for high-tier difficulty), etc.
