I finished it a couple weeks ago. It was fairly standard action fare, but certainly enjoyable. Insanely easy, too. The plot needed a little more coherence at the end. There's a big plot twist that will seem really bizarre unless you do a little bit of creative thinking.
The comparisons to Vanquish are pretty minimal. Personally, I'll take Vanquish for the game and Binary Domain for the story.

Why is it called the Vic Viper/Warp Rattler? Because the Options trail behind it in a serpent-like fashion, and the iconic front fins are designed to invoke the image of a snake's fangs.

Just bought it and finished it this weekend -what a good game, it was really made by the characters and story. It's now extremely cheap to pick up. Apparently multiple endings, you need very high trust across the whole squad for the best one.

I think i got this game when it came out (cheap prices in Russia yay!).
Beat it two times, really enjoyed gameplay, style and even story(yes, it's absurd but i love cheap 80's cyberpunk feel). PC patches also helped with some issues. Even FOV.
French Robot FTW!
