Just played trough it and oh man what a beautiful looking game. Don't have a super top computer so set the graphic down quite a bit, but still looks really nice.
The gameplay was fast and fun, but the camera angles was a pain, maybe if you play it a while you get used to it or something, but still can't wait till the full version I bet it will be a super nice game :D

冬コミ版は試行錯誤して整えた一つの形だったのですが、結果、作者的にいまいち手応えが感じられなかったので
思いきってゲームシステムを大きく変更しました。

"The winter Comiket edition was put together in one piece with trial-and-error, and as a result I didn't feel that the feedback was good enough (typical of the author). So daringly, the game system was significantly changed."

This is why Caladrius looks terrible.

I feel terrible pointing it out, but the name is probably going to spawn some, er, amusing fan art on Pixiv's age-restricted tag (if anybody pays attention to it that is).

Interested to hear more. If there's a game with characters that are begging to be put to the task of appearing from many different angles for "cinematic" looks, this is probably it!

I think doujins(indie's) come out with more original stuff than commercial companies. mostly because they want to make something different to attract attention than something staple that guarantees them statistical profits.

Not sure if I like the addition of the voice dialog, that gives me more of a "staple that guarantees them statistical profits" rather than anything extra-special, but if it helps the game's success then perhaps it's for the best. So long as there's a voice volume OFF option I'm fine.

There certainly seems to be a lot more happening in this trailer than what I saw in previous videos. It'll be interesting to see system requirements when/if it becomes available.

The game needs no-voice. I can't imagine playing the game putting up with all that screeching.

Though I would probably be able to enjoy a very low-grade English dub of the whole thing, but that's probably out of the question (and the no-voice would still be necessary).

front-view perspective portions of Ether Vapor weren't all that good, so I hope things don't get too clogged up with that in this game.

Is the August 2013 release date still happening? Or do I gotta wait longer? I'm so pumped for this game.

Probably not; if it were, it would've released at Comiket 84, but that ended August 12th. The next chance will probably be December.

Hopefully that's the final version. Looks better and better with each new video.

It's the final version.

And because it doesn't have a thread, I'll just mention that the complete version of Revolver360: ReActor is also being released this Comiket. Here is a non-exhaustive PV of the games being released: http://edelweiss.skr.jp/info/c85pv/index.html

ooh, there is a new astroport release too, the video shows what appears to be a satazius ship in it, but it could be a replica.

I saw that bit. It looks like a bit of story crossover there. :D

Game looks great, almost too good for a doujin shmup, although given my terrible experience with getting Ether Vapor Remaster to run at a reliable speed even at 640x480 fullscreen (on a laptop that has no problems handling the likes of S**e M**a and Karateka (2012)), I'm not so sure if this one will run well either.

If not for this worry I would very much commission someone to buy me a physical copy from C85.

Just got this, played it last night, slightly confused. My machine does not display Japanese characters so a lot of selection boxes and suchlikes are empty :D This is on Win7 64, if anyone has an easy method of adding support for Japanese characters please tell me.

It's a beautiful game, I run it in 1920x1080, but for now I will admit that I don't really know what I am doing mechanics wise. It has a deep story and it will actually run you through the introduction before you get to the main menu.

From what I can understand, you use the orbs as lock-on to build your multiplier (shot also works but builds it much more slowly) to a maximum of x16 and then you lock-on to as many targets and unleash your Ex-Attack when it's full to chain a bunch of enemies. You can do it to bosses too. Taking damage seems to reset your multiplier so it can be pretty tricky in the later stages if you aren't familiar with the layout of the enemies. It's a simple yet tricky scoring system to master in my opinion -- especially on the higher difficulties!

Really fun game though I don't like the Astebreed form. Tapping the sword button three times engages in a 3-4 second sword combo where you can't do anything other than move slowly until it's over so sword-dashing through the lasers on the Chapter 5 boss' final attack can be difficult if you lock yourself in that combo accidentally.

Playism just added the game to their Japanese site, so it's likely they will be localizing it (not Nyu Media). I think you can buy games from their Japanese site if you live outside Japan but obviously it's all in Japanese...

There is so much going on in this game, it will take a lot of practice to get a good score, does anyone else feel they have to think about making a move for about a second and then that opportunity quickly disappears? :)

Superb game nevertheless, Edelweiss has topped its previous installment, Ether Vapor, which I like very much as well.

I've a feeling this is either a sequel or prequel to Ether Vapor due to the fact that Daniel is around.

Has anyone found the website for that other doujin shmupmfrom comiket with the crazy organic design? Looked pretty interesting. Glad to see Doujin games are making it out if the I drew this on a napkin this morning and it's supposed to be a school girl era of graphics.

Nice visuals, which is already an achievement for a doujin game.
But I have to say the gameplay isn't on the same level. Missiles and enemies coming from everywhere in circles, switching from blade to shots kind of stop you in your movements and makes the experience a bit messy.
Went through all levels on normal difficulty until this level 5 boss without losing a life while not playing really seriously.

I have more fun with old 2D graphics game with better stages / enemies / bullet patterns TBH.

Nice technical demo but quite average in the end.
