Doesn't the track title mean the Chaos Queen?(even though she's a space insect and stuff)

Worst would be ESPGaluda... doodle-dee-doo..."YEAH!"

Cave boss music always comes off to me as quite professionally done, gets the job done, but I'm not that emotionally moved by it. Sometimes it feels too ostentatious/polished...

Have to think about others, but I've always really liked Poison of Snake. The A melody sets the tension quite well, and the B melody becomes all heroic for a brief moment. Every now and then it will align nicely and cinematically with my playing.

Sadly, Garegga's music is largely ripped off from classic Detroit Techno tracks (such as this one, which was posted in the dubstep/electronic music thread: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TBe7T4olpv4)

This is hardly an isolated example--Yuzo Koshiro frequently swiped from artists like Soul 2 Soul in his heyday, and the entire Doom soundtrack is shameless ripoffs of well-known metal songs.

It still gives it's own twist, not to mention shows the listeners a new genre that they may have not known about before. I certainly wouldn't have known about Detroit Techno were it not for Garegga.

Agreed, though I'm enjoying it less with the knowledge that it's less than original, and I can't associate it exclusively with Garegga.

Not that I'm unhappy knowing that more music of this type exists!

Besides, there are a maximum of two songs that are "rip offs". The rest are awesome originals. 8)
I liked Detroit Techno as a youngin so playing Battle Garegga for the first time now in my 20's was something of a strangely nostalgic experience.

Super R-Type. Ace remix of the original. My all time though, has to be Gynoug. That creepy organ intro still gives me chills.

Because this lists music that is considered good, not music that is your personal favourite.

Ok, so how is this thread an objective list of the best musics of all time? From what I can tell, people are just posting their own favorite pieces and you're commenting on the choices. Same as the other thread.

You piss me off a bit, but this isn't about a personal vendetta - I just don't like redundant topics. I also don't like people listing "the best games ever" (except for the yearly forum vote) because such lists are bound to be flawed and to piss people off. That's why I hate Cracked.com.

Hey, haven't seen you since the CKM madness. It's been a while.

Anyways, same as ever here, yeah. Though with the influx of young'uns, myself included, it's possibly gotten worse.

You piss me off a bit too. But this isn't about a personal vendetta either, you piss a lot of people off.

This thread is now also about pissing other people off. Oh, and my vote goes to Self from Darius Gaiden.

edit: and the final boss' second form theme from Pink Sweets.

Also, Strikers 1999 FTW. There's a good arranged version of this track featured in the original Xeno Fighters EX too.

Find a different Charlie Sheen macro, please.

My vote would go to Raging Deicide. Never gets dull no matter how long you're doing the boss-milk dance for.

I've always been fond of Spiritual Larsa's theme. I remember the first time I heard that track thinking "Holy shit, this is the best game I've ever seen." The arrange version is pretty mind blowing.

Guwange and Ra.De soundtracks were sold together.

Sorry I said I didn't like you, man. You're fine - I think I was confusing you with that annoying "megamanexpert" guy who posted about 4 months ago.

Crimzon Clover has got some great boss musics but nothing compares to Stage 4 boss theme. DECIDE FOR YOURSELF!
Crimzon Clover - Diabolos

Diabolos never really grabbed me. Maelstrom, however, totally floored me when I heard in in the trial when I reached Stage 3 for the first time.
