Careful with the Tehkan pinout. The pinout varies for some games.
I have verified this with Bombjack and Rygar PCBs.

Rygar
http://www.mikesarcade.com/cgi-bin/spie ... =Rygar.txt

Bomb Jack
http://www.mikesarcade.com/cgi-bin/spie ... mbjack.txt

Star Force
http://www.mikesarcade.com/cgi-bin/spie ... rForce.txt

Look at the coin SW and Start buttons differences for Rygar and Bomb Jack.

I hope this helped.

Excellent. I'd totally forgotten about the coin/start issue. Really stoked to see pictures soon. Will the RGB line wire be designed to go between the A and B boards btw, or will it be long enough to reach the connector even when running around the PCB?

Just some scrappy Handy Pics, better ones later.

I`ve now throw some pinheader on the PCB. Later on there will be an extra harness for RGB. There is a jumper for Bomb Jack or Others Games Button Mapping.

Looks great! Does it have everything wired up including start buttons for BOTH players? Both players use Player 1's controls, but that second start button is important. :)

Yes, both players are completly wired including start buttons. Test is still pending. I`ve only Rygar here. Hope it isn't a bootleg. Hmm, I need a Bomb Jack PCB for test. Does anybody have one for sell?

If your Rygar is an original, it has the TECMO logo silkscreened between the flat cables running from the A to the B board. This applies to both boards btw. I once bought a Rygar that had an A board from Tecmo and a B board that was bootleg. It didn't work. :(

@sinneslöschen : don't know if the pinout for bootlegs is a good one for my adapter. Do you have the pinout.

Fantasy Zone : Sega16
Wonderboy : Sega8

@kebrank : one tester slot is reserved for you.

So I think I have enough testers for the sega adapters. :)

Hey Jochen,

I have:

Choplifter
My Hero
Pitfall 2
Wonder Boy
Wonder Boy in Monster Land
Wonder Boy in Monster Land (bootleg)

All them have the Sega8 pinout. Including the bootleg.

I also have some games that need the System16 adapter but I have to look what ones.

At least:

E-Swat
Shinobi
Golden Axe
etc...

Thanks,
\o/.k.

That looks awesome. Solomon's Key exist as a JAMMA PCB as well as Tehkan Pinout, BTW. Must be their last non-JAMMA game.

Very nice work. I hope you're selling loads of these. If not, then you should be. :)

Do all Konami Classic games need -5V? I have a Time Pilot that doesn't have sound... None of my EGRET II PSU's output -5V, so now I'm curious about this. :) I have a Konami Classic adapter from Arcadeshop.com, IIRC.

just grabbed from klov.com
***note on -5V input: not all boards use a -5V input.

Frogger, Gyruss, and Time Pilot do.

Track and Field and Hyper Sports don't.

This is no big deal, EXCEPT that some boards may get "confused" if you send them -5 on the usual -5 pin (ie: HyperSports).

So if you plug one of these boards into a standard Konami cabinet and get strange things on the screen,
try disconnecting the -5 as your first step in troubleshooting:
So I just took it into account.
