Santaporing is my xbox tag

Akai Katana Shin Mode
Type - 2
1,355,312,827
7 Stage Boss

More people need to play shin because it's sad that I ranked 10th without even knowing how to score after stage 2.

Zetsu
Chempop - 298,583,596 - All - Type A

Those first few scores were before I had any idea of how to play.
Anyone know what the top score on the leaderboard is for Zetsu mode? I want to know how bad I am

I'll probably start dabbling with Shin now that I've cleared this, but I like all the spinning gold...

Updated, and also added the scores from DragonInstall's leaderboard screenshot. Please correct my spelling of the top replay holder's gamertag, as the font is close to unreadable. Also, am I correct in my assumption that a "red crystal" ALL depicted there is normal ending and boss fight, and the "angry macho dude" ALL is good ending and TLB?

It's rather saddening that some of the best 360 ports receive way too little love. :(

I agree. This game is freaking AMAZING. I'd love to see it sell better than it currently is, really would. And get more attention on here.

Anyway, score submitting time:

Zetsu mode:
Bridget - 169,502,988 - Stage 4 (boss) - Type 1

Ok, seriously: SCREW THE FOURTH BOSS. Argh. Just argh. I hate that guy. So much. SO very much.

Stage 4 boss isn't too mean until that last pattern, I've always sucked at navigating those vertical moving grid-like patterns (also drove me nuts in Galuda and Ketsui). I bomb spam that pattern if I'm playing for surival.

I think the online leaderboards are to blame for people not bothering to post scores.
I just started getting a feel for Shin mode, so hopefully I'll have a score to post soon. I've also heard that the top score for Zetsu is over 1bil, which makes my score seem rather pathetic (I thought it wasn't half bad at the time...)

Some scores after 3 days of playing this. The Arcade score is just a crappy first clear but the board is empty and I think I like scoring in Zetsu more anyway so might as well put that up too.

Arcade:
Erppo - 113,457,370 - ALL - Type 3

Zetsu:
Erppo - 312,160,682 - stage 6 - Type 3

Arcade
dan76 - 138,012,747 - Stage 6 (Boss) - Yaezakura (type 3)

Played stage 5 like a tourist looking at all the pretty lights, colours and sounds. Must be a ton of points there if you know what you're doing.

Awesome score man! I'm going to have to check your reply on YouTube tonight, thanks for posting it there!

Yikes, 1.3bil huh.... ... I'll be psyched if I can eventually get half that.

Is there some kind of score bonus for a TLB clear?

I don't think so, but the TLB does produce more bullets, letting you score more points on his death. Flip side is.. it's harder and you can die more, so you lose some of those extra lives bonus.

So I'm assuming that there are multiple versions of stage 7 "katana dude", is the TLB version a no miss requirement, or just to reach him on 1 credit? Thanks.

Have to no miss to get him. Only for shin and I think zetsu.

For some reason, I'm unsurprised to see such little Type 1 love. :P

Akai Katana - X360
SPZ - 150,325,482 - Stage 5 (Boss) - Type 1

The result of a day's messing around on a terrible screen and two credits on a good screen, first time reaching stage 5. I'm enjoying the scoring here a lot. Haven't really touched Zetsu or Shin yet, though I imagine I'll end up settling on Zetsu.

Finally! This 1cc was harder than I expected, maybe because I went straight for score.

Akai Katana - X360
SPZ - 192,692,394 - ALL - Type 1

Now for Zetsu.

I'm guessing Zetsu judging from what all I've managed to read on here.
Zetsu
jp - 304,051,716 - Stage 6 (Boss) - Type 1

Finally got to spend a weekend with this (since I forgot NCSX doesn't have a teleportation device and doesn't get new releases from Japan day of). I like it. This is actually my first time playing a shmup "seriously" in about 2 years now. (this is a shame, because part of the reason I bought a JP360 was to play Ketsui, and yet I don't have Ketsui. Last shmup I bought was Deathsmiles).

Pretty good run. Royally screwed up the Stage 4 boss score wise and one of the mid-bosses, but I did well enough in Stage 4. Can't believe I actually beat the Stage 5 boss as this was my first encounter with him (or her? I don't even remember) let alone Stage 6! Nothing I could do against the twins though... I had no bombs and no lives left at that point.

Hopefully I can make some progress this coming weekend. :)

Just getting started with this game, but it's already one of my favorites from Cave. It's completely awesome.
