In my opinion nothing really beats Casino Royale 2006´s You Know my Name by Chris Cornell. I don´t even like his works, but this one worked wonders.

I recently happened across a torrent of rejected Bond themes. While I haven't quite soaked it all in yet I found Blondie's version of For Your Eyes Only to be really enjoyable. The list includes some pretty surprising stuff including Ace of Base, Alice Cooper, Bono, & Pet Shop Boys. I also understand that there's a lost Amy Winehouse theme for Suantum of Qolace out there.

can't remember title but best opening to the one with in the snow with skying chase and basejump with british parachute(prob roger moore).
best music goes to from russia with love(not the song but specially the theme in the train) and this is also by far my favourite bond.
edit:read thread and yes live and let die probably best song.

I don't know what movie it's from, but "Nobody Does It Better" is a good song. I primarily know it from Radiohead's cover though. I primarily just watch the Sean Connery ones(not the ones where he came back though), and Casino Royale. I did like Roger Moore's first movie, Live and Let Die. Good theme song too!
Goldfinger is classic as hell, and is probably the best known one, but it's just a little too old school, for lack of a better term. The opening is good though. I read somewhere that Jimmy Page played guitar on that song(!).
The opening to Dr. No has always struck me as extremely odd.

If so, it makes Mi6 look like a bunch of bastards since so many Bonds lost their parents in a mountain climbing accidentE. Randy Dupre wrote:That pre-credits sequence also being the only time in the entire series that the possibility is hinted at that james Bond is simply a code name that's passed down between agents, which is a concept that I wish to fuck the films would take onboard.

Really I hope they never go that route. I like it that each Bond has enough of a story to stand on it's own and not have to rely on 50 years of canon to make sense. It would also lead to a bunch of gimmickry, like having the old Bond actors show up as bad guys or side kicks

The possibility has already been undone though, since George Lazenby 007's wife Teresa died in his arms and was later visited at the grave by Sir Roger Moore in For Your Eyes Only and further referenced in Licence to Kill, starring Timothy Dalton.
I prefer to just make up for the chronological and visual inconsistencies with imagination. It's much the same as Spider-Man only being in his late 20's, despite having been 15 in 1962.

Casino Royale. I never felt that the style of the opening sequences blended with the mood of the Dalton and Brosnan movies, but in this one the tone of the song and the opening visuals set up the feel of the reboot perfectly.
