How does a Saturn pad compare to a Horipad EX2? I'm using the latter, and I find it rather comfortable for most purposes, although the d-pad seemed rather stiff at first. Too bad Saturn has never been sold here officially so I can't even find anybody with it to sample the controls. :(

I don't know how it would compare to that, but from a stick to a pad, it's a world of difference for me. I'm not even sure if the pad is better or if its just the thought that using a pad is better. I think that's called a placebo effect. But to me, everything just looks cleaner and easier to maneuver. Patterns that were tough for me on the stick (Stage 2 Boss, pink line phase and it's second form first phase) are now much more manageable.

I also got that BL Arrange score without any real previous experience to the game outside of credit feeding. I think it's gonna be my main game now, it's a bit more fun than BL.

Skykid, I better see 300 billion as your next score. >:o

This run was going awesome (178 Billion after Stage 2 boss, and the replay I use gets 160 Billion, wat) until Stage 3 reared its head and I had a lot of misses. I think I no missed Stage 4 until the boss. I really gotta figure out my route for Stage 3.

Also, I found out a trick.

If you bomb regularly, after its done, you lose all your hit. If you use a hyper before the end of the bomb, it cancels that effect and you retain your hit count. Pretty nifty, though Doom might require no bombing so it's only really a tactic for a first ALL clear.

For beating the first section of HIVAC's lifebar, you get 500億. Beating his second phase nets you 1000億 and finally finishing him off gives you 2000億. Not only this, but hyper cancelling lasers at max red gauge give you large stars which, when coupled with your massive hit counter, give you billions upon billions of points.

Yep, BL Novice as expected. He's 6th place with 255,604,356,117 (Zatsuza ALL). Compare with first place at 284,346,314,628 by TANBONITORI (also Zatsuza ALL). He also appears in the Ketsuipachi scoreboards at 8th place with 1,433,063,950,227, ending on the Ex Boss (not clearing). Doesn't look like he's submitted a Black Label score.
