awesome game. loving that fact that it's a "salad bowl" of shmups.

+1

If I can configure my 360 stick to it, it's all good. I noticed in v0.95 the key config program crashes everytime I try it on my legacy machine though, not sure what it is I'm missing.

Really loving this now- it still feels very incomplete ,obviously cos it is ,and the addition of more sophisticated scoreboards indicating ship type, max hit etc would be great as well as continues but it's just so much FUN!!!!,( and it's got me into DDP DOJ for the first time too :D)
So what's with the CPU PR option in Config: I guess it might be CPU parity to throttle the game to the PCs performance but on the 2GHz Athlon I'm using it's hard to tell lol.
And where have I seen that G&G ship before? Thought it might be from GStream G2020 or was expecting it to spin like XII Stag but instead it's got those weird R-Type Leo rubber ball options.
Anyway this is GREEEEAAAATTTT and the perfect antidote to 76hrs of Crimzon Clover.

Thanks for alerting me of this game Observer.... it is awesome!

My performance on this one improves with the more energy drinks I consume!

It's taken this and Crimzon Clover to get me off Mame for a little while and has got me back playing more Patriot Dark again. I bet when I hit Mame up for a big session next time it'll be Ketsui, DDP and DOJ that I gravitate to.

Anyway, better go neck another energy drink and play some more shmups!

I think getting Hibachi as a player character may be random, or triggered after a certain number of games played. I got it after selecting the Don-8D B-type. I don't think I did anything special when I was selecting the ship, either.

The control for the Hibachi is a bit weird; despite that I still managed to get further than I've done with any of the other ships (level 4). I've only had a chance to use it once so far.

Seems to have some sort of 2nd loop judging that training has Maniac and Death as an option for each stage.

Hibachi in this game is plain insane, and shit for scoring. You dont any additional hits by hitting a boss with its slow-attack, and only going over the direct top of the hidden bees actually get the stuff. At least that's how it was when I last tried Hibachi, I think that might've been fixed or deliberate now.

Oh, I missed that post. I'll have to try it out again later. Yeah, it's hard to score well with Hibachi. I think I only got about 8 million with it (reaching level 4), and it should easily be possible to get that on level 1 alone.

Just got 16mil up to Stage 4 with Hibachi but finding it tough just to get on the scoreboard.
Also
a) What's the "Level" value mean on the display next to the chain meter? Is it Rank cos it goes down every time I bomb or die, which opens up the possibility of Rank control in this game too!!
b) Still not sure what the "CPU PR" option does.

Do you guys get a little bit of slowdown when you blow up one of the large enemies, resulting in a brief drop in framerate? I'm not sure if this has been put into the game on purpose or if it's my CPU struggling momentarily?

Not noticing any slowdown but mine's tated so there's no FPS display.
I'm playing on a humble 2GHz Athlon with 512Mb AGP graphics and 768Mb RAM, and it's still running smoothly! On an even older machine with only 64Mb AGP graphics and 512Mb RAM it still manages to run nicely when Frameskip=2. However I do sometimes get a really dramatic drop in FPS when selecting ships but it rights itself as soon as the selection's made.
Try toggling "CPU PR"- not sure what it does but it's got to be performance related :D

Yeah I'm only playing it on my laptop at the moment which has a 1.6GHz Pentium M (producing similar or slightly better performance to a 2.4GHz Pentium 4) with Intel 915 integrated graphics and 1GB RAM.

The game runs really smoothly and the only time I see a drop in FPS is just as I blow up one of the big enemies, the screen then flashes white and the FPS counter (using Fraps) rapidly rises back up to 60 again as the play continues. It doesn't affect gameplay at all and I've been wondering if it may have been coded into the game engine deliberately to be a bit like the slowdown effect you see in arcade shmups like DoDonPachi.

I played around with the "CPU PR" function and the game behaved the same with it both on and off.

When I get access to my desktop machine again, which is a beast of a PC set-up for playing 3D racing simulations, I'll load the game up out of curiosity and see if the framerate drops at all. :D

Ive been waiting for someone to upload a video like this. Good stuff! :D I think Hiseki is the TLB or at least the final boss in Death Label (which contrary to its inspiration Ketsui:Death Label really is harder than the normal game).
In all fairness, I swear your audio recording's botched or something though. :?

Wow, 8 ships to choose from now (or 9 including Hibachi). This game just keeps getting better. Maybe the final version will include every ship from every shmup ever. :)

Thanks guys! I ask for one download link I get two! (couldnt read Japanese so I had no idea what to do, was just doing what I was with the last releases) :D

This game is just getting better and better with every release. I think the only problem I have with it now is that the fullscreen seems a bit glitchy since every so often something will flicker from behind the game screen or some crap. There's also a few bugs with the new ships, the Red Wasp wont respawn with full power on Death Label and Test modes for example, but overall a very good release.
I'm really liking the new game mechanics to some of them, the Guwange ship (Rain) slows down the usually tightass chain bar to something even an old grandma can keep up with.....so long as you can cancel all the bullets well enough. :P
And a Thunderforce/Rayforce type ship? FUCK YEAH! :D

Yes- I'm loving this more and more too. Only just realised that the ESP Ra.De-like shot power of the ESPStream ship (which is the ship from G-Stream G2020 but with added R-Type Leo rubber balls) temporarily increases when it's bullet grazing (and glows pink!), making it extremely powerful.
Been trying to think of another shmup that has that mechanic- any suggestions?

No kidding! They might as well put in the Raiden MK-II and get a name change because its exactly that!

Instantly selectable Hibachi though.....I dunno. It's quite broken. I guess it's like how Xeno Fighters R handles ships according to balancing of scoring/survival, and Hibachi is the ultimate for the latter but little else.
