The Genesis model 3 FUCKING ROCKS! The system is only twice as big as the carts and it is physically compatible with the Japanese carts.
Isn't it rumored to break with like the slightest force? Or is that just an old wives tale.
I think so. I remember seeing a bunch [like, 4-6] in a day-care, they looked pretty beaten up, but all worked.
Come check out my website, I guess. Random stuff I've worked on over the last two decades.

I'd rather play on the Nomad connected to a TV. Or even just using the Nomad with headphones to hear that actually somewhat accurate Nomad sound! :D

Nothing too fancy this year. The big one was a new set of snorkel gear that I'll be using on the Caribbean cruise I have booked for late March/early April (the cruise isn't a gift; I'm paying for that one myself.) I also got a mini food processor, a silicone iPad sleeve, and a bamboo cutting board (these were all on my list.) I also got $25, a book I already had a copy of, a $2 Lotto ticket (instant loser, of course) and a picture to put up on the wall I didn't get any gaming stuff, but some others in my family got some Kinect shovelware and Dance Central.

Maybe I should be your families shopping consultant.

I got Ableton Live (from Lite) upgrade from my mom, so I'm stoked.
Something coming from my sis. Probably a shirt. My son of course got
a shit load of presents.

The missus got me a Kindle for a birthday/christmas which is great. Also got a new pro duo for my PSP with Little Big Planet.

To top it off I got given a stupid amount of money. Very lucky.

Hmm I remember doing tests on it vs. the model 2 and model 1 with the Rolling Thunder 2 intro, and it was much crisper. So far, it sounds pretty good (I've played Sonic 1 and Atomic Runner on mine). Is this going to be one of those things like the SID or vinyl where people like the old one better because it's crappy and distorted? :)

Used PSP Go. This is one beautiful machine, but it's ridiculous how my awesome PSP game collection can't be played on it.

Ah, the PSP Go-fuck-yourself...

professor ganson, what do you think the great games are on the PSP? I've just stuck to my DS for all these years, but admit that the games I love on it are pretty niche. A PSP is tempting given its interactivity with the PS3 (which I do have), but I don't know what I'd play on it.

Specs listed some really nice ones. I've especially enjoyed Jeanne D'Arc, Crimson Gem Saga, Lumines, Phantasy Star Portable 1 & 2, Disgaea 1 & 2, Star Ocean (though I didn't get very far yet), and Wild Arms XF. Probably forgetting a few. I really like the system. There are a few dungeon crawlers you might like, but I haven't given them any serious time so I won't recommend any.

Got a first set of skis + boots + bindings and a 10 days all expenses paid ski trip in Whistler BC. Pretty sweet, but my favourite part is still playing with my little cousins. They're super cute when they're good, but when they're bad it's not my problem :)

Bunch of clothes
New pair of shoes
DJ Hero 2 for 360

Not a huge haul, but it's good enough for me :P Actually having quite a bit of fun with DJ Hero 2, it's a shame these games didn't sell more. It's far more than the "Guitar Hero with a turntable"-style gameplay I expected.

I got Espgaluda II for it and I love it so far. I agree on the controls. They are amazing. The 2x mode on the iPad looks better than expected and works great for the game too.

I'll get DDP later. I'm definitely interested, but money is kind of tight right now.

Grr...

I only got two shirts from my family...

I HATE GETTING CLOTHING FOR CHRISTMAS!

If not for Greg getting me a nice Xenosaga poster and the first volume of the Scott Pilgrim series, I would have gotten REALLY SUPER PISSED.

Oh, and my new LG LED TV as a present to myself for being so freaking awesome and humble. 8)

The 2x mode on the iPad is actually short of amazing. :-) The graphics just look gorgeous on it. And I just loooooove the controls. It's so incredibely intuitive, it changes the game completely. If you can point your finger at something, you're covered... ^^ But still... Getting the 1cc on hard is still quite a task, even with finger-pointing-precision. ;-) (I barely get the 1cc on normal, atm. Espgaluda II is just hard...)
