ibara PCB or PS2 CD?
Re: ibara PCB or PS2 CD?
Yeah the PS2 version is kinda shoddy, like Mushi, but I think for me it's more to do with that super-narrow play area rather than the filter. I'm an idiot, I got rid of my CRT when I got my 50" Plasma- and in actual fact I think ESPy looks worse than Ibara on that cos at least Ibara is filtered, compared to really pixelated with ESPy, which HAS NO FILTER OPTIONS at all.

Sure it does, but they're analog filters.stryc9 wrote:... compared to really pixelated with ESPy, which HAS NO FILTER OPTIONS at all.
No filter: use component cables
light filter: use s-video cables
full filter: use composite cables

Re: ibara PCB or PS2 CD?
I have not heard this before but it interests me because I am mostly using composite inputs on my systems and have yet to upgraded to s-video... But you're saying some filtered games look better with composite? Are Ps2 mushi and Ibara in this category of high-filtered?No filter: use component cables
light filter: use s-video cables
full filter: use composite cables
Sorry to derail!

Well, technically ESPGaluda does have a filter option, but it's only for tate display: if you select TATE in the Options, that's 240p; if you select TATE HOSE, that's 480i.stryc9 wrote:Yeah the PS2 version is kinda shoddy, like Mushi, but I think for me it's more to do with that super-narrow play area rather than the filter. Do yourself a favor and upgrade to S-Video (in the least).chempop wrote:I have not heard this before but it interests me because I am mostly using composite inputs on my systems and have yet to upgraded to s-video... I hear Black Label is the best to get but the PCB is rare. How many of my arms, legs and organs would I need to sell?

No worries. Here's an article that shows how picture quality varies with the different video connections: http://www.sega-16.com/feature_page.php ... onnectionschempop wrote:I get it now, what was I thinking?Quote:

You should do yourself a favor and upgrade at least to s-video as Kiken suggested.
