But if you make it to Stage 5, it gets feckin' easy. Automatic bullet reflection is just lame.
Genetos is presumably meant to be 1cc'd on the first attempt, then the real fun with scoring puzzles and hard to get unlockable weapons can begin.
I recommend Genetos, to everyone for the subject and especially to obsessive players that like to try variation after variation and to play for score; and also, among similarly recent games, Stella Vanity and Patriot Dark.
Avoid: Broken Thunder (the game is bad while the music and cutscenes are quite good)

I'm gonna have to throw in a vote for "Tori Tatsu - Death label" here. The graphics look like they were drawn by trained chimps, but the gameplay, control, and bullet patterns are undeniably good. I cant tell if with the graphics the artist is being ironic, or if he/she really is that bad.
Music alone and the fact that it has a fast paced TRAIN STAGE makes Zen-Ichi very, very good. Supposedly, the authors are working on an updated re-release of the game. Hope it'll happen sooner or later because it also had a 2-player mode.
