It's awesome that this iconic series looks set to get a full release, finally. The 1986 movie was one of the first anime tapes I owned (a birthday present in 1993, along with 3x3 Eyes and Venus Wars). I'd advise anyone interested in the TV series to snap it up immediately, as 80s anime tend to be poor sellers and can vanish suddenly. I remember how disappointed I was when Imaginasian's releases of Orguss and Cat's Eye went out of print after only a few months and became impossible to find; I've still got an Orguss series box that only houses the first three of eight volumes.

I was lucky enough to snag one of the ImaginAsia Orguss sets. Unfortunately, because I was busy with grad school, I didn't get around to watching it right away. When I finally did, I discovered the 3rd disk in the set was totally messed up. It won't play on any DVD player that I have tried. I haven't been able to do squat about it either. :/

Anyway, I have been pretty pleased with this FotNS set. As someone already mentioned, the video is surprisingly clear.

I saw all 152 episodes and all the movie.
Love it.
I also love the fighting ps2/AW fighting game!

Lucky for us fanatics, there have been like a million HnK games, from NES rpg to NDS stylus nerve point prodding to MMORPG. The best ones I've played are the old 3D PSX fighting/adventure and the Arc System Works fighter. Looking forward to the Musou game!

The Good:
-Both of the original series
-The animated movie
-The live-action movie
-The manga

The Bad:
-Shin Hokuto no Ken. The cgi sucks, the plot is too complicated, Gackt's opener song is a joke compared to the ones from the original series...
-All of the Shin kyûseishu densetsu Hokuto no Ken -movies. The only decent one was the first, especially the end with Shuu climbing Souther's pyramid, that was epic

The Ugly:

Also, pink-afro vampire FTW, loved that episode!

I could do without the sadist scenes in the series, but I just love torn down buildings like that.
I think it was the first movie. somewhere there´s a huge oil tanker ship drilled through the top of a huge building. That was AWESOME!
warning, those 152 go really slow, like dragonball series.

One of my favorite moments from the movie is when the building collapses on Ken and he just walks through it. I love the movie, I'll have to check the original series out.

I loved that game but I gave up after awhile though because of the unskippable cut scenes.

Haha yeah, always liked that scene too. Definition of over-the-top.

I also love the one where Lynn is "calling" the sleeping Ken, Ken then wakes up eyes glowing, stands up, bed explodes!
