YES PLEASE.

I'd love for a new Capcom D&D 2D Beat-em'-Up, A proper sequel to the amazing DOS FPS Blood, and a sequel to my favorite NES game Ghoul School. Oh, and Duke Nukem Forever...

- Daytona USA HD. Sega Racing Classic was not enough.

- A sequel to Initial D Extreme Stage on PS3 that uses the version 5 physics engine and has all the opponents from 5 as well as all the music tracks from all the Arcade Stage games. It's Blu-ray, they can fit more music on there!

- A sequel or a remake of Racing Lagoon with a US release.

- Kart racing game based on Negima. No idea why, I would probably be the only one who'd find it interesting.

- Speaking of Negima, a fighting game based on the manga (Neo Pactio Fight was based on Negima!?) would be cool. Sunday vs Magazine's engine could be used.

- A Galaxy Angel space sim a la Freespace similar to the pilot mode they give you in Eternal Lovers. Even just a Freespace 2 mod would work.

- A sequel or remake of The Guardian Legend.

A new panzer dragoon game on PS3 with optional "move" controls. I'd like to see it play like Azel keeping the adventure/exploring elements but have the combat in shooter fashion.

A new 2D shinobi

Strider 3 also....

Argus No Senshi HD/3D.

I'm just picking my favorite 2D platformer and updating it with:

SOUND:
Environmentally correct surround sound, you run on dirt, in puddles of water etc, this is what you'll hear. Enemies dropping from the sky, you'll hear swoosh sounds. The music from the original game is superbly monotone, so I don't think it can be better, but the sound effects could be enhanced.

GRAPHICS:
Updated with a 3D engine, but the "camera" is still 2D so just the background will be 3D kinda. The sun will send rays of light through the branches of trees, those huge worms that crawl up from the ground will spray sand particles. Adding lots of cool details to the scenes.

GAMEPLAY:
Nothing to change from the original, perhaps add a second mode with new levels, but DON'T CHANGE THE MOVEMENT FROM THE ORIGINAL ARCADE GAME.

This updates could also be done to Black Tiger, Rastan (although the gameplay is kinda boring) or the first Contra.

New Jet Set Radio for the love of God.
Same soundtrack people. Hopefully same design team.

If I couldn't get that, I'd settle for living in an alternate universe where 3D display was never realized.

I meant 3D as in polygons and not sprites for Thunder Blade in HD.... like AB Climax.

But I'll take a free 3D display and a Thunder blade that takes advantage of it.... I could turn it off if I wanted. But I would definitely smoke a bowl and play it in 3D if I was given a choice.

Hi guys Im reviving this topic because its awesome
Anyway here you have my Dream Games

Crash Bandicoot (It s so painfull to think that Sony left it s killer app behind like it was trash I mean Crash was the real deal back in the Ps1 days like the Crash trilogy alone sold about 25 MILLION COPYS and now it s on a trash can named activision what freakin sense does that make? Anyway not all hope is lost maybe if a skilled developer tries a reboot the series may rise from it s ashes like Mortal Kombat)

Zanac Ressurection (I would love to see a Game on the vein of Compile made today It sure has potencial to get a Kickstater campaign or something)

Streets of Rage vs Final Figth (If there s one Game that can revive the beat em genre it s this dream crossover)

Ecco the Dolphin meets Super Metroid (It s a shame that Underwater themed games weren t take seriously as Ecco world is soo deep it makes me feel lonelyness and it would be awesome to explore in metroidvania style)

Burning Rangers (This Game deserves a modern remake)

Einhander II (I think this is that this is the shump with more potencial for a sequel and it rocks)

Contra (What if Konami regained decency and decided to reboot the franchise as a twisted fucked up parody like a porno parodius I mean I have a really dark sense of humor and there aren t a lot of worthy comedy based games plus Contra needs something new Cause Rebirth was unworthy recyclage)

Phantasy Star II (Remember how the Final Fantasy 7 anouncement surprised everyone? Im not the bigest fan of Rpg s but I swear in the name of my dick Phantasy Star II is the best Rpg ever made even if it didn t age well and it s the Rpg that mostly deserves a fully fledged remake)

F Zero GX mark II (Honestly I dont give a crap about mario karts and id rather be playing Mnm s racing than Gran Turismo why the hell isn t F Zero around? I mean high speed is the real deal can modern gamers really be this lame? )

I suppose Nintendo have no idea how to make it cheap AND not to alienate the most ardent F-Zero followers. Latest official word is that they asked if Criterion wouldn't develop one, but - needless to say - EA would rather have Criterion make EA games.
I've felt for years a new "Mode 7" racer worthy of high resolutions and big screens was needed, but Cannonball and Oh! Deer is all we got lately. Sadly, new F-Zero along those lines sounds like a recipe for "cult hit" - ask Nintendo how much they care about those who keep buying their games for big screens.
Or while we're at it, ask those who bought Wii U how seriously they hoped the console was gonna get a new F-Zero. Admitedly, Maximum Velocity got released on it (which I thought was pretty cool, actually - Maximum Velocity rocks on the GBA).

Jet Set Radio 3. With the tighter level design and more threatening cops of the first game, and the better speed of the second. Better still if it comes with a PC port.

EDIT: Reading up, looks like Gaijin Punch beat me to it.

Shadow Tower 3 would also be pretty cool. Most of my other "dream games" have been made, and most of them didn't really turn out that great.

Phantom Brave 2 would be fantastic. PB was my favorite NIS game - grinding was well paced and engaging, unlike basically every other game they've done. Bring back the system, ask Sato do do he soundtrack again, and bring back Pringer X. System seller.

Elemenal Gearbolt 2 would also be fantastic.

But really, two weeks ago I would have said all we need a new proper Harvest Moon - but Stardew Valley is here. :3

"Flight sim" (not too serious) for GBA - having eventually decided Cinemaware's Wings GBA port is not my type of game, I must admit its presentation was very promising. Although I don't think GBA has enough buttons to make a proper "3D" aerial combat game for it, I don't want my dream game to become one either. What's needed is adventure like Sky Odyssey (or at least Pilotwings with more nuanced controls).

I agree but stupid Sega doesn t have faith on it s real franchises
If only they managed to open their eyes and focus on their fans JST 3 could be incredibly fantastic
A new panzer dragoon game on PS3 with optional "move" controls. I'd like to see it play like Azel keeping the adventure/exploring elements but have the combat in shooter fashion.

A new 2D shinobi

Strider 3 also....
Your wish was more or less granted with Shinobi and Strider

And I agree totaly on you with Panzer Dragoon that s how I ve always imagined how the series would make their Combat it would also be awesome if a playable After Burner arcade port managed to find it s way there like Shenmue it would like a chery on top of the cake and I agree the move controls aren t that awfull
A proper sequel to Alex Kidd in Miracle World that does the original justice. (All the sequels failed more or less badly.) I wouldn't oppose a "Alex Kidd Galaxy" game.
Even tough I ve never found Miracle world that fantastic to begin with
Alex Kidd is insanely popular in Brazil Sega should be aware of that fact and make the dream sequel a metroidvania with no crapy janken minigames and more focus on the block puzzles
I mean it has all the potencial to be a killer app there
Bullet hell RPG with batshit insane story. Dicing Knight meets No More Heroes meets Guwange. This game looks particularly amazing in my head.
Id rather see a Metroidvania Bullet Hell game with no backstory the Game world would be a big ass H.R Giger Maze
If I only knew how to develop games this dream game could be a best seller in real life

NEW PARODIUS

Otomedius looks a bit duff. Imagine if Treasure were to code a new Parodius in the style of Gradius V! Stuff exploding everywhere, crazy huge sprites, stupid humour, small hitbox, even more epic boss battles
It would be the first Ps4 game id buy
Speaking of wich

Another crazy Dream Game id love to see turned reality
Is a Cho Aniki Ligth Gun game
I mean i don t give a crap about the Cho Aniki stg s
But combining House of the Dead great gameplay with Cho Aniki twisted humor would be like a match made in heaven perhaps it s my bigest dream game
And this would be the ideal adverstisement

This just occurred to me earlier, but considering how good they did with Gradius V, I wonder how Treasure would handle a new R-type game. Preferably this time with just a handful of distinct ships to play with instead of hundreds with some clearly being better than others. Instead of checkpoints (although they should still be an option), you could just lose your bits and powerups, but still be able to grab your force pod upon respawning.

- Not a bug fan of "remakes" but sweet baby jesus please remake or at least update with current generation graphics Resident Evil 4.

- new 2D crash bandicoot made by Naughty Dog.

- some sort of Myst game except it's a survival horror game with super limited ammo supply and lots me of running for your life than blowing enemies heads off with unlimited ammo and all the supplies you would ever need

- half life 3

- Shadow of the Colossus 2

- Survival horror game with Dinosaurs. Jurassic park games never captured this at all but obviously they weren't trying to. Also have it in first person view. Imagine trying to survive in the dark jungle while it's raining, running for your life from small raptors and hearing the sound of a T-rex in the background. No weapons, just you and your survival skills.

- A good Bethesda game. There I said it

Bulletstorm: A re-release on GOG without Games for Windows Live. I've not yet had a problem with GFWL but as I understand, it's closed down and could be problematic for those who want multi-player. Electronic Arts and People Can Fly (Painkiller) do have other games on GOG, so why not this?

Crysis Trilogy (1/Warhead/2/3) on GOG. I could see Crysis 3 not going to GOG right away due to it only being 2 years old, but the others are ripe for an official no-DRM treatment.

Double Dragon 4: New game from Arc System Works, with Marian come back to life (let's assume the NES/PCECD ending of DDII is canon) and playable alongside the Lee Brothers. Also add a grapple type character.

Razing Storm 2: Sequel to RS using the same hardware as Time Crisis 5, and with a stable framerate of 60. For the PS4 version add a hi-spec version of the original RS.

Galaxy Force III, Thunder Blade II: 3D graphics, gameplay enhancements like After Burner Climax, and running on present hardware.

Space Harrier II DX: Remade like Fantasy Zone II DX but with the Sega Y Board, which runs Power Drift & Galaxy Force II, as the target hardware.
Kinect? KIN NOT.
