This is so not true.
With all the flashy and ugraded graphics, IMO Futari still loses to the original for the original's 5th stage alone. And the music in the 1st is better.
Both games are awesome though and should be equally appreciated.
Sorry dude, I'm with Kollision, that's a load of bs. The first Mushihimesama actually has quite a lot going for it over Futari, personally I prefer it on the whole. The stage variety, bullet patterns and especially the music make a real ride. I gave up trying to play for score on anything except original tho.
Unfortunately it's arcade or bust though, as the PS2 version is damaged goods imo.

I disagree. While the PS2 version may be blurry, and ESPECIALLY bad in yoko (u gotta tate it man), it is still very playable. Hell, I played with a standard tube TV and got respectable scores if I do say so myself. Some people are more picky about this than me, obviously.

I also think people complain too much about Mushi PS2, I just changed my TV's picture settings to vivid and it looks fine. Also might help to increase the sharpness.

Although I do understand the benefits of TATEing, I've never done it.
This means I play PS2 Mushi in YOKO in my 29' CRT. And I love it. It's not broken, it's not blurry, it's actually damn fine.

Sharpness in my TV is ALWAYS cranked up to the max.
Well OP, looks like no one hates this game, if anything its just the PS2 port that's bad but the game itself is a classic. With the three different modes, old-school diehards can appreciate original mode, and all the crazy danmaku lovers can dig maniac and ultra, so there's something for everyone. Anyone saying the game is shit is trolling or got butthurt from the port and/or scoring system.
Can someone please tell me in futari xbox 360, which "normal" mode has the least amount of slowdowns. Some people like the slowdowns, as they emulate the arcade versions, but I find them sooo annoying. I don't like arrange mode, so I don't care if that one has no slowdowns. So if I want to start a game, which modes and options should I select? Are there any tweaks to get the game running smoother?
I didn't like it right away, it took some time. I've played it on the PS2 first and I was like meh, Espgaluda's better so i'd rather play that instead. I gave it another chance on the real hardware and then I kinda felt in love with the thing, it was a different game to me, very unique. I used to play the original mode with my wife quite a lot. Women seems to like it. I started to serisouly play the Maniac mode for score after that and I have to admit that it can be confusing and frustrating at time. I just bought a fixed version with unlocked Ultra and I'm looking forward to play that mode now. Mushi is a classic in my book, not perfect but pretty damn good if you give it a chance.
Will have to see if my woman likes it tommorow. Probably wont though, My gf doesnt have the passion I do for gaming, she finds my obsession rather childish it seems. Although she does like the 1st stage and the music to Darius Gaiden, even though she has to credit feed through the first level

It's not the resolution that's the problem, that I can deal with. The Mushi 2 port is lacking the same slowdown as the arcade PCB and as a result is much, much more difficult to finish. I used to wonder why I'd go to arcade and do so well, come home and do so badly until someone revealed the differences between the two.
I only keep the PS2 port for the arrange mode and the nice carton box.
