Now for the 12,000,000 Western Record set by my friend UBN in 1988 (Turnpike Lane Arcade). One of the sickest 10 hour+ 24 loop credits I've ever witnessed

I too had mega length credits on Truxton and Fire Shark. The arcade manager switched Truxton off on me when I was 5 hours into a 10,000,000+ credit. I actually crashed out Fire Shark @25,000,000 after 5 hours because I was getting bored. Plus the manager of a Central London arcade whacked the skill level up to 'hardest' on Hellfire to try to reduce the length of my credits. It didn't work

^Info like this convinces me that you are indeed an excellent player. It would be good in the future if you could get to play Cyvern on the original Kaneko Super Nova System Arcade Cartridge at full running speed . I'm sure you would notch up a BIG score, but it will be hard to replicate 29.8mil at full arcade board speed.

The first loop has five stages. For some reason, every subsequent loop skips the opening level.

I read in an interview with I think it was Tatsuya Uemara that they removed the opening section from the loops because it was too boring. ^_^

I believe there are other early Toaplan games that do that as well. One of them is Tiger-Heli.

I've been playing this game A LOT lately. Tonight, I finally managed to beat my goal of getting 10.000.000+α by quite a lot.

The credit lasted a bit over 7 hours. I didn't count exactly, but I think it ended at stage 29-4.

I'm very happy with the score and I'm not gonna try improving it. 7+ hours of non-stop gaming with no autofire can be pretty exhausting...
