Backbone is not involved. Krome is doing this all.
i have a couple of people i know at Krome and they are really great guys, so i'm really rooting for this to be a success. :D

that said, it does lead to an interesting conflict - we already have games out on XBLA like Frogger, Scramble etc as 400/800 point games. Given the ROMS have achievements too i can only assume that the roms carry different cheeves and that perhaps we have seen the end of arcade conversions to XBLA.

IF this is a "rom plug in and play" type solution then it could be of some interest on the X360 front. Don't really see the attraction on the PC front as MAME sort of kills things though if online multiplay is integrated as standard a la Kaillera , repleat with online leaderboards, then that might bump interest... though again... i think X360 is more attractive on that front.

Would be awesome if the emu is up to RSG and Sega Rally... though i doubt it is for some reason.

This has the potential to be kind of neat, albeit it doesn't seem that different from the few other retro arcade releases. Most of the early titles are things I'm not particularly interested in, but maybe when they get a bit farther along I'll be a bit more keen on dropping some cash there. I hope it does well regardless.

well, i'll go absolutely nuts if they have C64, Spectrum, Amiga, ST games on there! :D

I know one of the guys at Krome is a huge C64 nut, so fingers crossed for some hot paradroid, sentinel, uridium, mutants, wizball, etc etc etc... action! :D
