Better question: Who has time for both?
Pick the best from each. There's plenty of garbage on both sides of the drink.

JRPG: Stick to a linear path recruiting each archetype for your party while following an ultimately predictable, static story. Enjoy combat customisation options, but nothing to affect any other aspect of the world.

WRPG: Go off the weak main quest line to explore copy and paste dungeons and experience a ton of customisation that doesn't do anything until you've been pumping stats for hours while anxious that you've made a mistake.

There, now everyone is unhappy. Actually, WRPG’s usually don’t click with me but I really liked Fallout 3. I think the last JPRG I put (too much) time into was Persona 4.

JRPGs have been getting on my nerves lately, on consoles at least. A big reason is that I do not want to play as a character like this:

Agreed. I personally lean towards JRPGs, but ignoring one or the other if you like RPGs is just begging to miss out on something good.

I thought Fallout 3 was good but not great - well worth a buy at low prices. (If it makes you feel any differently, I have indeed played and beaten Fallout 1 and 2.) I had the 360 version and it was quite buggy (as always for a Bethesda game, right?) and what ultimately made me give up was losing progress here an there (never a big chunk at a time, usually 20-30 mins) due to something stupid happening, like an NPC dying or getting stuck on scenery and being unable to move and junk like that. I'm not sure if the new re-releases have fixed that or not.

Weird. I've had this game for the 360 since Dec 08 and am actually surprised by the lack of bugs, especially compared to Oblivion.

Falk would occasionally have trouble catching up with me and disappear for awhile but aside from that, I don't remember any bugs.

She's been working out and lost some weight. Proper cleavage would be restored with pregnancy.
