Small article from new Newtype mag...aparently game's planned for this summer release, still no mention who's actual developer or whether is 2D or 3D, but you'll get cute nedroid figure with ltd edition... I'm starting thinking that this might be that 5pb's new original shooter, they're somehow connected with Cyberfront, the publisher.

They're only connected peripherally, and mainly via Memories Off series, which Cyberfront gives them full use of the license (which Cyberfront owns) since basically 5pb people are the people who started the series in the first place and have the know how to develop that type of game.

If 5pb was making a Strike Witches Shooter, they'd announce it themselves. Cyberfront releases games on the 360 too, so this is probably something of their own doing.

It's single player only. You select 3 characters out of 11(? exact number is too blurry to make out). One is designated as the "leader", and the other two serve as options.

Well, the last two games from Gulti didn't impress me very much (Mamorukun, 0Day Attack on Earth) so

Yeah, aside from Raiden Fighters Aces, Gulti seems to fail pretty hard. Not only with their IMO mediocre original titles (0day, Mamoru-kun) but they also have a bad habit of making worse-than-original versions by changing gameplay elements when porting games (PSP version of Space Invaders Extreme, 360 version of Triggerheart Exelica). They also apparently provided technical assistance on Thunder Force VI, which is neither here nor there I suppose.

Too bad that's actually a pretty good price for anime. Only paying slightly less per episode than I would for a matinee showing of a movie 9 times as long and with better voice acting.
