I'm really enjoying this game, but for a one week competition it's really starting to drive me up the wall.

-A bit of a learning curve just figuring out how to properly active the special scoring system
-Undodgable bullet patterns that require memorization of safespots.
-WTF Deaths up the wazoo in later levels
-And perhaps worst of all... I was having what I THOUGHT was a really good run... Good hell was I wrong. I'm like "All right, let's tackle this submarine stage... ice? Wtf is with thi... OH MY GOD PLEASE USE VASELINE DA PAIN ARRRGH!" Well, so much for that "good run."

To recap, a secret scoring system, stupid fast bullets with stricter path of memorization to SURVIVE than DDP has to SCORE, and a border system. All wrapped up into one package.

This could suck heavily, and I'm not sure I can improve on this score much with the two different ice levels walling me =/ But I'll sure try.

Okay, now that I'm doing better and getting the sky sim stage, argh

See, I can't see the damn bullets. Managed to survive, miraculously, this time.

Sim Stage 45 was what did me in though - couldn't see, again. Lost all three lives there in seconds. Was finding fairies and Micluses too.

Incidentally the Miclus that spits medals seems to be the way to upgrade those big medals. I think once you've done that, the medals gain some high value and stay there constantly.

Is there a ship thats a lot better than the rest? I see a lot of people picking Slave?
Also, is there more to scoring than building the medal and getting bonus for shooting things really fast?

Never really played this before. I really like it so far, nice fast paced action and a fun medal system.

I got the special medals easily on Sim 5, there are lines of medals lying around the level making for easy upgrading and getting multiple shot at once.

Most people will be using the slaves of Judge Spear or Ixion. They are the fastest ships and have good bomb.

Got the 2M Medal in Sim Lev 30, and the Miclus thing in 45. Need to practise, not really used to fast moving ships and fast moving bullets. >_<

I'm starting to get the hang of Stage 1, although I still need to figure out which medal I am routinely not getting. Getting the 2M medal before and not during the boss fight would make this stage much easier and reliable, so I could focus on actually getting past it. I'm enjoying this much more than Varth because I feel I'm actually getting better at it.
