Nice going, luy, but could you submit your scores in proper format next time? I figured this was BWR Plus from the YouTube video, and I still don't know whether accel was on (in which case you take the first spot) or off (in which case you don't place on the scoreboard at all). I assumed it was on but please clarify. :) In this case I would also like the replay file uploaded to some free hosting service so I could link to it in the first post.

I'm going to assume that the video was played on regular heaven(no accel/heaven alternating text in the upper right corner) and BWR+ because of the colors on the sides of the window(purple in BWR+, blue in BWR)

Indeed you are right. Luy, try to score some 10 more million. It's not very hard, I know you can do it. :)

Just achieved a real ball-buster of a score:

BWR+ Original Mode
ResumeDPosition - 60,317,260 - ALL - Wish - OFF

Was playing this again after last week's post only to discover several scoring techniques I never discovered for some reason. After a week of playing I finally managed to simultaneously pull off my best stage 1 of all time and break 60 Mil on Original. There were a handful of heart-attacks and panic bombs due to getting nervous about my higher than normal score.

Replay Link: http://www.mediafire.com/?kciuhwjxbsbpz1b

There really isn't much room for improvement, bombing once on the stage 4 midboss nets you about 10,000+ extra compared to not bombing it due to enemies afterwards. Bombing 3 times with Wish on the stage 5 midboss will net you about 200,000+ more points compared to not bombing it for the same reason. The most improvement I could see would only be about 200,000+ more if I hadn't panic bombed on stage 4 and 5 bosses once, but I've more or less hit the highest possible range of score for Wish. The score could still go higher with another ship besides Hope, I saw 63 Mil with Peace before...but regardless I am immensely satisfied with finally hitting 60 Bil with Wish.

BBL, Watching my replay again :p

BWR - Heaven
Despatche - 32,857,810 - ALL - Wish - OFF

Missed the extend in stage 3, but whatever, it's done. Have a replay.

Another 1CC at the first try :D, This was actually harder than Eden's Aegis, No lifes/No bombs at the last pattern of the boss, That made this 1CC so damn awesome

Oh crap, didn't realize you'd edited your post. Anyway, that stage 5 was beautiful! I'm very impressed you haven't been hit even once playing so aggressively. And I especially liked how you owned that attack where you apparently only needed to tap left and right to dodge everything. :D

Which attack lol?

It took a LOT to get everything to actually work in a single arcade run, ironically I had to restart about 70% of the time because of screw-ups on stage 1. Once I saw that I had 1,380,000+ before stage 1 boss, I knew that this was the run that would have to break the usual 57.5 or so Mil due to not reaching 35 Mil at the end of the game for one last extend. Stage 2 and 3 are a piece of cake(sans getting good points at the end of stage 3) while stage 4 is a complete nightmare. Stage 5 isn't honestly too hard to score on except a few tricky spots in the beginning and that still scary 5th boss final pattern. I managed to land nearly everything in the run and even do better on a handful of parts than I normally do so it came out beautifully. I was a hair's thread away from the stage 4 boss ruining my run so hard.

Many many rage-restarts, rage quits, game crashing moments because I retried too many times(yes the game does eventually crash when you pause and retry enough times in one boot) and many practice runs later, I think I've hit my limit on scoring for this game. I had played through Hell that long time ago only for survival and I don't plan on aiming for score there because I think I'd drive myself insane if I did(inb4 lol no AG, 1 death no TLB, gg lawl)

Regardless though, I'm pretty satisfied. I might try to do a run on regular BWR. I just need to change my tactics in a few areas and I think I could have a pretty good score for that too.

Sweeeet.

One run through BWR...the bosses are seriously damn filled with health now geez, they may end up being my biggest roadblock for a while since I'm used to them dying rather quickly.

YAAAY I FINALLY GOT THE 1LC* ALONG WITH A SCORE THAT'S ACTUALLY COMPETENT!

*Now try it with auto-guard off.

Very good! But I think there's some bigger potential for improvement in terms of point-blanking and bullet canceling than turning off the auto-guard.

That is Heaven, though, not Original. But otherwise a decent score, just a sliver below mine. :)

BWR Plus - Heaven/OFF
Aru-san - 44,460,850 - ALL - Hope - ON

Slowly creeping my way. All I need to do is iron out the guards on stage 2 and 4. After that, I'll attempt to consistently no-guard the game before deciding to turn off auto-guard.

[EDIT] Mmm...improvement....

BWR Original
Azinth - 39,233,830 - ALL - Peace - OFF

A half inch of boss healthbar away from a no-miss/no-guard run. I wept tears of blood. Rest of the run was okay, despite some memorization screwups. I don't know if I feel like trying to beat this score.

One question: Can I change the screen orientation in this game? If it does, how do I do it?

EDIT: Played the game, and it dosen't.

That's BWR+, and unfortunately you aren't making it onto the board with this score. :)

Nah, it's ok. Your score doesn't have to be eligible for the board if you want to post it for progress keeping, I just wanted to make sure none of us misunderstands anything.

Congratulations on your 1CC. Play more, and eventually you'll have a good enough score!

You know, you can score better by opening those gold ingots by hovering at them. Just make sure you know the locations.
