I was going to, but then I got sidetracked. Girls are usually going to take precedence over shooting games, sorry Nec =/ I'll probably get bored and post you one tomorrow, though :) Though tomorrow may turn into next week, which may turn into next month, which will turn into as soon as I get bored of Futari, which will turn into never, ...

Azinth - 490,800 - 1-5 - F-22 Raptor

First day playing this, got as far as the 1-5 boss which I have no idea how to handle yet. 500k will have to wait for next time I guess. :?

New score, and I actually bothered to learn some tech bonuses this time:

Azinth - 683,900 - 1-6 - F-22 Raptor

I didn't even know until after this run that 1-6 has multiple bosses. I ended up facing this satellite-type boss that I'd never even seen before and it completely kicked my ass. Is there some way to trigger how they appear or is it just random?

Awesome score. Congrats on hitting the extend.

Which boss you face on stage 6 depends on your horizontal position on the screen when he shoots out of the structure in the background at the end of the stage. If you are bordering the screen, you will fight Geo-Bite (likely the satelite-type boss you mention), else you will face Cross Blade who is considered to be far easier.

Keep playing! Stage 6 is a big hurdle, but I think that it is all downhill for looping the game after that.

Azinth - 786,900 - 1-7 - F-22 Raptor.

No miss until 1-6 boss, followed by a 3-miss 1-6 boss fight.

Yeah, stage 6 is definitely a big jump compared to the previous ones, especially the first half and second form of the boss.

The boss of stage 6 is the roughest part of the first loop. Bombs away.

I've had this game for over a year and a half and haven't yet submitted a score for it, so I've finally put a bit more attention into it:

Hey, man. I'm glad you decided to join us! After Dragon Blaze, the second loop here should be a breeze! Looking forward to more great scores from you.

Battletoad - 709,600 - 1-7 - X-36

I just exactly got TOM´s score, eh? :P
The score isn´t that good for the stage I reached (although I died right at the beginning of 1-7). I didn´t go for the Technical Bonusses in stage 5 and 6 yet. Chaining´s also quite hard/unintuitive with the smaller hitbox.

Battletoad - 677,800 - 1-7 - AV-8 Harrier

Even worse score, just trying to survive and to use the bombs early enough.

Don´t really know how I made it this far...
Battletoad - 912,200 - 1-8 - X-36

The last stage is surprisingly easy, at least up to some kind of midboss where I died. Especially a lot easier as stage 7 and the bosses from 5 and 6. All together this was a bit lucky run, should take some more work and time to have a real chance for the 1CC.
Sometimes the small enemies which appear during boss fights are really pissing me off. Their aimed shots got in my way several times while I tried to get the Tech Bonus.

Hey! Great to see a new face on this poor, neglected scoreboard.

Keep going, man. The final stage of the first loop is really not that bad at all.

If you decide to take on the second loop, you will find that these little bastards are absolutely the toughest thing in the game.

Yeah I don´t really understand, it´s an awesome game. If I have enough time, I´ll also post some scores with other ships (Harrier, Raptor, F-4). When I first played it some time ago, I didn´t really stick with it. Somehow I missed the World War II setting. But now I´d say, gameplaywise it´s the best Strikers game.

I got the Technical Bonus on stage 5 in some recent runs, but for now I need at least 2 bombs in the second boss part. The stage 6 boss is just sick. I don´t think I will take on the 2nd loop... At least I will try it in Zero Gunner 2 first. These two games have the mildest 2nd loops from Psikyo I guess.

Apart from the Sengoke games this is definitely correct.

Battletoad - 947,300 - 1-8 - X-36

I´ve played it a lot recently, yet this is only the second time that I reached the last stage. I died at the first part of the final boss while trying out the safespot, but I missed the correct position. I practiced the stage 6 boss a bit and it became a little better. Much work´s still left, the stage 5 boss still kicks my ass, too. At least there are hardly any problems besides the bosses, the stages aren´t that hard.

You're super close to hitting both the second loop and the seven-digits. Looking forward to seeing it happen!

I used ASP's amazing 2 ALL No Miss/No Bomb video on SuperPlay! when I was going for my 2 ALL. I definitely recommend checking it out for some help on those last few bosses.

Battletoad - 981,400 - 1-8 - X-36

Yeah I had already checked out that video, but wanted to play on my own first. But it already helped a lot for the stage 6 boss. On this run, I died at the same pattern like before... After that I credit feeded a little and finally could get in that safe spot. :P
But right when the final boss turns into this dragon(?)-type thing, a Mame info shows up right at the bottom mid ("Unknown layer type of") where I´d like to stand/move. I don´t really mind, if some graphics are wrong (didn´t even seem like it), but the info blocks my view and doesn´t go away. I tried in in two different Mame versions now and it´s exactly the same. Is that a known problem and how can I avoid it?

Right when I start the game, Mame says that there may be some graphical issues, I assume that´s just the problem there in the last stage.

One of my two goals achieved. Gotta master that endboss now, but I still can´t consistently get that far.

1CC done... but with a crappy score. ;)
It came quite unexpected, I didn´t have any bombs or extra lives after stage 7. I was very lucky at the last part of the final boss, but he died faster than I expected. I´ll keep playing to get my highest score with a 1st loop 1CC and then I´ll take a break or play more with the other planes (Harrier currently ~900,000 points).

With the X-36 I barely have any problems in the last 4 stages (except for the bosses). Stage 4 often is indeed the hardest one for me. The biggest problems I have are just stupid mistakes or bombing a microsecond too late. Regarding the bosses... 5 is giving me some trouble on full rank, especially the 2nd part. I always bomb the last 2 patterns before the Technical Bonus. But I´ve mastered the stage 6 boss, usually I only use one bomb for him. Stage 7 boss owns me (need more practice), stage 8 boss is almost easy, but I haven´t mastered the last part yet.

Way to go, BTO! I'm on a bit of a shooting hiatus, but once I've had my fill of Metal Gear it's back to ZG2 and Strikers II/III. That's the plan, anyway ^_~

No it ends.
Thanks anyway.

By the way... I forgot the next-to-last part of the final boss which is giving me trouble. I have never been able to dodge that screen filling pattern. I always use bombs there, I should try again to find my way through. On the superplay it doesn´t look that difficult, but it´s not easy either. ;)
