Yes, but PGM emulation is vastly incomplete in MAME. I'm pretty sure only two or three games are playable, and they all have issues.

Plus, I'm pretty sure there's some lawsuit in place blocking MAME from adding the drivers. Arika didn't want these games coming out in MAME while they were still releasing ports on PS2.

CAVE put encryption into their boards. I guess that IGM produced PGM titles does not have encryption.

hey. so i took some of the people's guidance on here and now i'm just looking for a little bit of advice since the net is giving me a headache and its really hard to find objective reviews or instructions on how to play import games on my pal wii (i've got an American castle of shigigami III). I'm using firmware 3.3E

It seems that freeloader aint an option with my firmware. Anyone have any experience with gecko? I'm looking for something i can torrent....

I say get a Jap360 ive had mine for about a week, this titles such as Ketsui, Raiden iv, Raiden Fighters Aces are all on the console. It seems to be the Next Gen SHMUP home, so go for a Jasper JAP360 also an Asian 360 doesnt require a stepdown convertor and plays all games from the asian region.

Gemini, didn't you say you're in Europe? Not that it compares to Japanese releases, but Europe has gotten a handful of PS2 releases that are pretty sweet and didn't make it over to the US. I think they were put out by a publisher named something like 505 Games, and include titles like Gigawing Generations, Gunbird 1 and 2, Dragon Blaze/Sol Divide, Sengoku Ace/Sengoku Blade, XII Stag, Homura, Raiden III, and probably a handful of others. Not sure if all those titles are correct as I was just going off of a release list I found, but that should be a fairly inexpensive way to get started, and you can always go the boot disc/mod chip route for imports if you get tired of that selection.
