Death smiles JOKE! PLay asia suck ass!
Update from P-A...
Supply Update:
April 23rd:
We are currently in the process of tracking down as many copies as possible from additional sources to fulfill additional preorders. A relatively large batch has been confirmed by one supplier and about 50% of all pending preorders will dispatch tomorrow. This covers all orders starting with order number 1432xxxx or lower. Please watch for more updates as we are trying to fill all other remaining preorders.
April 22nd:
Due to a severe supply shortage in the market, Play-Asia.com has only been able to process about 10% of all preorder and might not be able to fill the majority of all Death Smiles Limited Edition preorders. If you currently have a preorder on hold, you will be contacted by our customer service in the near future with a status update. We are currently still trying our very best to obtain as many units as possible and will clear all backorders on first come first served basis!

Had a similar response from PA:Kron wrote:Update from P-A...

"Thank you for contacting Play-Asia.com.
I am sorry that we are still waiting to see if we can get more stock. You
may wait for a bit longer first. If we cannot fulfill your order, we would
contact you.
If you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to ask.
Best regards,"
So now i'm not sure to wait it out, cancel the LE, or just buy a regular edition extra...

My order is #13092339 from November 4th. I was almost giving up and paying an extra US$ 50 to get the edition, but now there is some hope. I will wait a few more days. If I cannot get if from PA I will buy the regular edition.
It seems that while the shipping numbers from the Limited Edition are low, the main problem is that a lot of people pre-order the game from the usual channels, which received only a limited quantity, but there is stock available on offline stores. Prices will raise in the next few days but I guess since there will be some availability they will fall after that.

People in the UK might be interested to know that videogameimports.com are now selling JPN 360s. They're not particularly cheap, but you can avoid high postage costs and import taxes by ordering from them. They're also the only service I've seen on the net (from any country) who can guarantee you a Jasper unit and also supply you with a 220v PSU so you don't need to use a stepdown.

Yay, I was able to pay for it!
This thread is kind of funny because in the original thread everyone was bitching about how they didn't like the LE cover and now it seems like the one to get.

There's an extra slipcase that holds the game, plus the additional soundtrack disc. Unlike Senko no Ronde Ltd. for example, the soundtrack CD does not ship in the Xbox game case, it's separate.riffbear wrote:NOOB query..
So does the LE edition come with the card and ost/cd packaged in the cover?
The DLC card is a preorder gift and is not inside the box, so chances are you may or may not receive it depending on where you ordered from. Not sure if they were distributed 1:1 by the maker.

If anyone hasn't ordered the game yet and decided to get it from play-asia I have 2 coupons up for grabs. Just PM me.
Also is the Artwork different on the game case itself or just the slipcase?

It's a good lesson to learn, if you want to buy a shmup, any shmup, buy it at release.ZyN wrote:I bought mine LE on ebay incl. the ore-order Bonus
For "just" for $150, that's the punishment for my late interest in shmups.
Heck, I paid nearly twice the retail for my Ketsui Death Label.
I want the DS LE pretty bad, but I can't justify the price. I know I wont listen to the soundtrack. Couldn't care less about the other perks of having it.

I think Yes Asia is worse, though. For some reason I think it bothers me that I can't cancel my order- seeing as they don't even have a date for when the product will be available. Still on the ropes of whether or not I pursue this- or just man up and buy the damn thing anyways
Thank you for shopping at YesAsia.com!
