I do, as an HDTV owner. :P
And with PS3 games, it's already been demonstrated that you're not even going to see all of the game unless you have 2 HDTV monitors
What? No it hasn't. It's an option that I seriously doubt anyone will ever use, and it is in absolutely no way required. The only time I can see it being used is for multiplayer games, where if you have 2 TVs you can use that option instead of split-screen. But it's never been said that it's required, and I'll bet money that no more than 10 games will support it, and none will require it.
OK, perhaps forcing is a little strong, but how good are PS3 and XBOX 360 games going to look without it? :?
As good as Revolution games, so I don't see the problem. ;)
"Thing is, in America HDTV is becoming the standard." VERY slowly, though, due to it's cost. HDTV's may have dropped in price, but I haven't seen one for less then a grand-and that's the point-as I previously mentioned, most people can't afford an HDTV, and that it matters little if they're standard in 5 or 6 years, by which time the next line-up of consoles will have arrived.

And how do you know how many games will or will not require it, or will even use it?? :?

But that's not a problem. People without HDTVs play games in low res. People with HDTVs play them in high res. Removing the latter option isn't "solving" anything, so I don't get the complaint. It's like saying that the Dreamcast would be better without VGA.

Common sense. The PSOne also let you play games on multiple TVs, with multiple Playstations. It didn't exactly take off because nobody had the equipment.

Sony is not going to require people to own two equal-sized HDTVs to play their games because they're not morons. :P

OK, I wasn't aware that you could do that with a PS1! :P

To all who complain about lack of HDTV:

HELLO? YOU CAN CONNECT A VGA CORD TO A PLASMA OR DLP HDTV! It's progressive, it's from 640x480 to 1024x768, and looks awesome. And IIRC you can connect VGA devices to a DVI input using a converter. I played Cannon Spike and Ikaruga on Undamned's HDTV and was blown away by the quality of the image. Correct me if I'm wrong.

Nintendo, I disliked you back in the early 90's. If you play your cards right, I'll love you forever.
Don't hold grudges. GET EVEN.

It was the only way you could play the original Wipeout in multiplayer. XL as well, I think. But aside from some scattered early support, nothing ever came of it. This will most likely be used for FPS where people want to have big group matches, but they obviously can't split a single TV seven ways. Instead of linking up two PS3s (like you currently have to do with the Xbox for more than four players) you can just hook one PS3 up to two TVs. This is also most likely why it supports up to seven players on one system.

Some, not all, and as far as I know VGA inputs aren't on any RP CRT screens. It's hardly the standard that componant/RGB is, and HDMI is becoming. And adaptors aren't always of the highest quality.

I just wish Nintendo would stop making HDTV owners leap through hoops.

Wasn't Xbox 360 meant to be HD-DVD?

An online SSB? Wow Nintendo, you're really shaking up the market and making me love games again.
Be attitude for gains:
1) Be praying...
2) Be praying...
3) Be praying...

And a shameless plug for the stuff I'm selling on eBay, if you're into that sort of thing.

I don't think there was ever any confirmation on anything. Until very recently, everything has been rumors.
