don't think i ever saw one person on this forum shove religion down your throat. but i've seen you shove your propaganda in front of people here many times.

maybe you need a 2 week cooling off period?

Ceph´s post was possibly provoking (but right!)

And for reasons only the mods know he was banned for a while.

I have no problem with that since he probably ignored their warnings, and thus forum courtesy.

I just wanted to state that I miss someone like him here, and was wondering what he was doing!?

The main problem here is that many people do not know how to build empathy for others and they are more willing to attack in egotistical fashion than listen and calmly then agree or disagree. It doesn't help when political threads/propaganda keep popping up every week. If people want to discuss politics than fine, however learn some restraint, present your ideas. Too many threads have been created out of a trolling agenda. I don't have any problems with political or religious topics as long as people can agree or disagree in a civil way. The best way is to present all your thoughts and leave it at that. There should not be battles for pages and pages. Extensive discussion or heated discussion should be taken to PM. I'm not for restricting what can be discussed here but there should be strict rules for how to kindly present personal ideas.

At least he was banned for a reason. I agree with the ban, and I agree with the two weeks, but you're acting like he's gone forever. I can name three forums where I've been banned from for no reason whatsoever.

Talking about bans seems to be a taboo subject, just like religion. I expect this thread will be closed soon.

Keep in mind the pattern of behaviour:

maybe it's something about his personality, like he has a superiority complex or something, but you remember when he was desperate to be a mod? he'd go round chasing all the duplicate threads and linking people to the existing thread (a bit like a mod, but not actually able to close the topic Laughing ). and then after his backseat moderation went nowhere he decided the next best thing would be to create a forum that was identical to this one?

...and it's not difficult to 'get' Ceph's character. This is a guy who considers internet forum debate a method of defining his superior intellect amongst gaming communities.

I can see that he's intelligent, but if his lack of sociability on forums is reflected in his real life persona, it's probably a good idea to spend a little more time outside of his bedroom.

I don't know about you guys, but his avatar speaks volumes to me.

2. i didn't say you were attacking GP. i'm saying look at how he manages to keep his thoughts on the subject private.

3. i remember your thread "LOL @ the god idea. try to argue with this!!". and eventually you edited the title a bit. don't let your view point permeate your posts. if you do wanna debate the subject, open a topic and put forward your ideas in a clear way, and show others some basic respect and manners. now, i think you can do that. when he comes back, hopefully you can teach ceph some manners too

But you could argue he was entitled to an opinion just like anyone else.

I found that in some cases he backed up his views with good arguments. What ceph suffers from is an ability to accept a forum has all different types of people. He is unable to be passive towards those that confront him, his strength lies in not giving up. In essence some of the guys here fuel his anger or desire to belittle them.

I liked his fighting attitude, its just that over time people don't want to argue anymore, they want to get shot of the source of the problem by democratically eliminating him.

Honestly guys, There are worse folks out in interwebz land than Ceph. He's always Ok with me.

Personally I think an internet forum is a really stupid place to try and talk about anything as personal as someones belief system.
