First time I saw stage 4, I lost all ships within a minute. Also since I didn't write my name in, you are graced with a cute 'SYS'.

Shatterhand - 3,404,000 - Stage 6 - Mosquito - Lv 20 I think. I don't remember.

The game is pretty cool until you reach level 5, and cheap deaths appear from everywhere. Damn annoying.

Minor improvement, but it's the first time I've ever seen Stage 6. Would've done better score-wise if I hadn't bought it on the Stage 4 boss after not dying throughout the stage...

Can someone help me get this running? I downloaded a bunch of different versions, but the main one is still missing the following files.

Try another emulator/version. There's a chance that posting even the name of a rom for correction assistance could be breaking the rules...

How about setting up two buttons for button 1, one with autofire and one without? Heck, with my HRAP3 I guess I could just set the turbo on that button to always-on (no press required). Is this setup legal?

Also, I haven't even broken 900k yet. So many silly deaths...

Ugh, I tried for a few straight hours to work out some sort of consistent method to S rank the stage 2 boss. I swear, when you're on the last part, the fighter planes just come out when they feel like it. Also, sometimes the main turret delays its pattern, so you'll end up getting the 360 bullets as its second attack pattern 'cause you pushed its life down far enough. I bet there's some simple/complex trick to this, and I hope the rest of the bosses aren't like this...

Like croikle said, set up a dedicated autofire button 1. To elaborate, you can do this easily with autohotkey/xpadder/etc. You can even do it inside MAME by going to "custom buttons" in the in-game menu and making a duplicate button 1.

Edit: Oh yeah, suggestion for sikraiken, although maybe it's too late to implement it now. It's really useful for the scorekeeper to list the "furthest seen" post. So right now, it would be moozooh's first post on page 1, or in other words, this is unseen/new. Then since people know where the scorekeeper is, they won't edit posts before this point, which wouldn't be counted. More usefully, they can edit posts that are unseen to make things easier for the scorekeeper. So right now for example, The Coop could edit all his posts to indicate which scores are outdated (all but the last one at any time of course), which helps out a lot.

Another good idea (credit to scaryice) is quoting your old score whenever you post a new one. That way you prevent the possibility of duplicate scores, and better yet, the scorekeeper doesn't have to check for duplicates all the time and can easily find the existing scores. Anyway these are good ideas, but if people already can't follow simple score posting format, they will surely fail at this. :P

Too bad I missed one enemy in stage 3, I would have about 150,000 more. Second time I saw stage 4, this time died on the boss :).

Best STGT game so far? A nice score system that doesn't make you want to hit your head against the wall, moderate difficulty, excellent level design.

I wish I was already in vacation, I think I could make a real good score if I had more free time this week.

I'm after you, The Coop :)

umm proboably alot more than 150K, the difference between 99% and 100% is huge, about 300K already in stage 1...

Nope, that's the difference between S Rank and A Rank. 99% instead of 100% means my multiplier at the end of the level is lower by 1 - I'd get something around 140,000 more if I got 100%.

Also, in the first stage, the difference between 100% and 99% is 80,000. :)
