I hope you are recording your runs so when you finally get some wicked 25 million point run, we can see it.

Thanks.
This is a really fluke run too, since it's the first time I've completed the Shield and Sword category, and I just bombed all the way through Infernon's attacks at the end.
Usually, I'd complete Food, Staff, and Shoes.

Actually got to the two elemental bosses. Got killed by the red one. Amazing run actually, I even got the second extend.

I will not beat this for a long time. This was the luckiest goddamn run of Dimahoo I've had in my life and I'm slightly pissed off that I didn't record an .inp of it.

10x. Every set completed except the ring, fairies, legend, gem, treasure, and Capcom set.
Getting both legend swords at the end of stage 5 with that multiplier net me a little over 2mil alone. Jeez.

Bananamatic - 5,078,680 - 53/108 - Solo-Bang - 5

Guess it's not that bad considering that I picked up only 2 sets...
Could've been 5,6m if I only knew how to handle the bombers on st5...especially the ice one.
And then Infernon comes and ends my run in no time despite entering with an extra life.

Yeah good job SFKhoa. Man I seem to see you everywhere, I think the first time I played with you was on SFHD Remix, we had a few good fights. FYI my XBL tag was StoneySmile.

It looks like Grimlen really struggles against Infernon. Bombs away, I guess?

freddiebamboo - 2,863,320 - Stage 4 - Birthday - 64/108 Items

Just started playing this and really digging it, awesome bosses, nice selection of ships to choose from and I actually really like the scoring system. Should have scored much better as missed out on completing shoes until bloody stage 3 and aside from food the other categories are still elusive beasts to finish but will improve on this in the next few days.

freddiebamboo - 3,932,090 - Stage 4 - Birthday - 73/108 Items

Completed food and shoes on stage 1 and then armour or something during stage 2 which was a nice bonus. Messed up stage 3 as I've not practised it enough and stage 4 needs a lot of work if I'm to get through it never mind score properly at the same time.

Out of interest, does anyone know what the best way of collecting the items from the chests in stage 4 is?

Your best bet is to watch TAC's Solo-Bang run at superplay.co.uk. I believe the way he does it works for most characters, except for slow ones like Grimlen.

Cheers mate, that replay is crazy how accurate and rehearsed the item collection is, shame that the quality is a little sketchy as it's hard to make out everything thats going on there.

0 items? So you're not using charge-shot at all? You should use it at least to kill strong enemies.

I'm trying a low rank approach, and made it to Infernon in this run. I used the charge shot a couple times, just on bosses.

Have you tried playing Birthday (or to a lesser extent Golden - v. strong options) for a low rank run? The bosses are the real tricky part of the game and both ships have a far easier time than the rest of the cast.

I'd also be interseted to know just how different a low rank run is to a item collecting one as I've noticed no real difference during play if I have or haven't completed certain sets or not.

Birthday seems too slow and weak in shot for they way I'm playing, but honestly haven't given it much of a chance. Once I reach a wall with Karte I'll give Birthday and Golden a try.

I haven't really examined if collecting single items raises rank much (probably not compared to completing sets), but I think its just funnier to try and 1CC this game without a single item collected...at least thats my goal. Anyway, the most immediate effect on rank that I see is shot increase! I avoid all powerup items, and keep one magic so Karte can do her homing thing. With this strategy, enemies goes down fast enough for me, and the game turns into more of a dodge and shoot challenge than item collection. Thats what I love about Raizing games, there is always more than one way to accomplish your goals!

Bananamatic - 5,610,470 - 5 - Karte - 62/108

This game is just...brutal.

First miss on Cypider's final phase, second on the double elemental bombers(how the hell do you do them anyways), then proceeded to derp it all on Infernon.
I swear he threw only his extremely hard attacks(the left side's spread that pretty much telefragged me, then right on the second form he opened with the double spread...most superplays bomb that as well)

An improvement is an improvement, but Infernon is an inpenetrable wall.

Missed a good 400k or so though. I should learn how to get an extra set or two on st2 or 3 as well.

Bananamatic - 5,730,370 - 5 - Karte - 42/108

Low rank run, got 2 sets then focused only on secret items.
Something tells me that I get too many normal items on st1 while going for the 1cc that way...1 miss on st4(a stupid one at that), then completely fell apart on st5 by missing 4 times before the bombers. Game over on the ice one...so close off 6m.

The rank really kicks in after 40 items.
