i know.. that's not nice.
The buyer has the option to do so if the fees are horrendous. If you want to be an ass, you can be one. Shipping by United States Postal Service would've been not as expensive, even with insurance added. Please consider that "smarter and cheaper" option next time if buying from the USA and shipping to the UK.
