2 V8's? In the same vehicle? Damn! That's gonna be a sick vehicle. Although you kind of scare me when you say it doesn't look too good (haven't seen any pics myself). It's one of the reasons I went with a T/A over a Camaro. I love the WS6 look over most other vehicles on the street. The camaro would have been a slightly better go-straight-and-fast car.DEL wrote: Central London seems to be one of the few places in the World where the World's latest cars make their street debut. I don't think its a pretty car, but the thought of 2 V8s placed side by side in a W16 with turbos is interesting to say the least. 255mph!
What is your fave car??

I think this is an ugly car??? Is that a big shovel on its back??

Re: Landshark's Car!!
Ohhh man. I hope none of those show up in any parking lots near my truck. My truck already " has a thing" for BMW's.SPACE HARRIER wrote: I think this is an ugly car??? Is that a big shovel on its back??
If it spots one of these, I have a feeling I'm going to walk out there and find it backed-up into the rearend with it's hitch in the Bugatti's exhaust

What the hell is with the giant USB port?
Bugatti Veyron
Yep, the Bugatti is not quite the prettiest as I said, it kinda reminds me of an extended Audi TT. BUT, the appearance is not my interest in this Bugatti - its the MAD performance & hopefully SOUND which will emanate from the beast. 8ltr turboed-up 1,000bhp W16 engine
I forgot to mention that a Ferrari 612 Scaglietti parks almost daily outside my office in Central London. It is a beautiful looking GT (I suppose the replacement for the 456 GTA).

Yep, I thought "audi" when I saw it too.
There's some kind of low-silver-sleek-something that I pass on my way through the multi-million-dollar-home-subdivision on my way to work.
I have no idea what it is because the few times I've seen it on the road, I've been in front of it (I think it's a lamborguini of some kind). But the other times I see it is parked in front of the monster-house. But the drive way is winding and over 200 feet in a bunch of big trees so I can't really get a good look.

I'd love an open top 1971 Challenger (with the 440), in Plum Crazy.
However, situation the way it is (and having just sold a 71 TA 455), I'll be realistic for a moment. My practical dream car would be:

I used to own one, fantastic cars.

I used to have one also..it was abloodflowers wrote:

FORD CAPRI mark III (1979)
1.6 S 90 hp.
These cars are a lot of fun

Next up was a
PEUGEOT 205 GTI 1.6 (122 hp)..Best mini streetracer ever!! I ones did a topspeed of 126 mph in this little car (SCARY AS HELL

FORD MONDEO V6 (184 hp)..BIG but not slow at all!! nothing beats the sound of a V6 or V8 engine!!
Now I drive a OPEL ASTRA 1.6 (80hp),I think I'm getting old

Yup - the Mercury Capri you guys had was a slightly changed Mk2 Capri from Europe. The above is the last of the Mk3s (a 2.8l V6), essentially the same, new engine lineup, slight styling updates.TWITCHDOCTOR wrote:^Looks like a Saab, with a Ford logo?
The front end resembles those older Capri's from the 70's. (2000CC 4 bangers)

FORD CAPRI mark III (1979)
1.6 S 90 hp.
These cars are a lot of fun, because they have backwheel drive. it's easy for powerslides and some wicked burnouts!!!
2.0S
2.8i 5-speed
2.0S
2.8i 4-speed
280 Brooklands
2.8i Special, with 3.5 Rover V8 installed
The one I most miss I think, is the 2.8 4 speed, they have slightly better ratios than the 5 speed models.
I've also had: Opel Manta GTE, Citroen BX16 (shit car), Vauxhall Vectra 2.6 CDX, 1971 Trans Am 455HO, and finally I've ended up with a E34 BMW 540i. The BMW is faster than even the TA was, only a little under 300bhp with no modification.
Cars are even more fun than games.

Capris
Damn Bloodflowers
you've had a lot of cars!
I've always thought that the 928 was based on the lines of the Capri. Porsche just made it longer, wider and fitted it with V8s up to 5.4ltrs as standard/350bhp. Next time you're up in town, I'll drive down and we'll annoy the locals
neorichieb 1971 - One of my friends has a Lotus EXIGE, he used to have the Elise. It gets a lot of looks from passers by. He says its a good track car. Personally, its way too small for my liking - I DREAD to think what would happen if you were involved in a collision in one
.
You mentioned the Lamborghini Murciaglo, I see a lot of them in London - Wonderful sound!
There's a new TVR and Corvette coming out too.

"Cars are even more fun than games".
Only if they run right!!!
Indeed TWITCH
, that's the "Sacrifice" I was talking about. The maintenance of large V8s is the only downside. Such maintenance costs, repairs/replacements have kept my savings real low. BUT I love my car, the intoxicating power, the rush etc. Hence, the long period I've kept it & intend to keep it.

Re: Capris
I wouldn't mind a 928 myself, but I'm not in a position to be car shopping for the forseeable future due to my job having a cut dead date of April 2006. Despite being a year away, that scares me half to death - the market is pathetic at the moment in the UK. It's really upsetting too, as I saw something that I would have considered buying recentlyDEL wrote:Damn Bloodflowersyou've had a lot of cars!

264 mpg, bitch. Bonus points for looking like what people in the 1950's thought cars would look like in the year 2000 (minus the flying part).
Yes, I'm one of those "a car is just a way to get from point A to point B" people.
254 MPG? I don't get that on a tank

Well DEL, I do my own maintenance, even "large jobs" like rebuilding engines(assembling engines I mean).
So I never charge myself labor...the only downside for me would be gas prices, so I guess that would be the so called "sacrifice". Its still worth it though, as my car is pretty bitchin!
Point "A" to point "B" type people are BORING...sorry Davey.

Bloodflowers - Yes, a real nice one & a 6.0 V12 at that!
I'm a bit unpatriotic when it comes to excellence in auto engineering, prefering German expertise in that field.
If your still looking at 5-6ltr V8s and V12s, you really should come down to London again and test drive mine. the pricing's gonna be similar on an S4. GTS is still high though.
