it is missing, I loved that weaponAcid King wrote:I agree. The only thing I don't like so far is the way the camera jumps around when you pull an obliteration technique. It's easy to lose track of where your enemies are when you're in the middle of a swarm. Other than that, it's everything I could have asked for... unless the Dabilahro is missing, of course.jp wrote: And the combat is so much better than it was in the original.

Camera problem in the first ninja gaiden game? What camera problem? The n00b wrote:man this has been a problem since the first ninja gaiden game. You would think that Tecmo would have corrected this by now. Tiny little annoyance considering the overall quality of the game though but still sloppy stuff.DBH87 wrote:Im talking about the real game, Im currently on chapter 5. So far I have 4 weapons which are all brilliant and the chapters are quite long to be honest, plenty of enemies to kill (at least 175 per chapter). The only downside I can think of at the moment is the fact that you face a hell of alot of the same enemy based on which chapter you are on, but the sheer quantity of moves and obliteration techniques makes it so you are never bored of fighting them. The number of available combos for the dragon sword and falcons talons are very impressive and a brand new weapon on chapter 5 called kuri gami or something looks fantastic in motion.Strider77 wrote:what demo are you guys talking about?
Also lots of people complain about the camera, just hold right trigger eventually it will be like second nature
Have you got the game strider??

Looks perfect to me

OMG.... I just went through the air ship stage..... sooooooo good.
Damn Tim, you know there are quite a few Americans out there who still lives in tents due to this shitty economy, and you're dropping loads on a single game which only last 20 min. Do you think it's fair? How much did you spend this time?

lol.
Fuck the dogs- that's all I have to say. Also- screw the boss who I can't hit : P
This game is brutal still- I don't beleive it's any easier than the last one- I've only been able to get Master ninja a VERY small handful of times. If anything- this game is harder just due to the amount of enemies onscreen at once!

this games not that hard really if you've played through black.
at 1st I thought it was tougher maybe, it seemed really frantic and maybe even a little chaotic. now I'm sinking into it again and adapting... getting use to my arsenal also. the bosses actually seem alot easier to me than black.
it seems kinda like a mix of hard and normal on black.... well difficulty wise. it's hard to say though really. playing black on hard and normal so many times really left me with alot of skills that rolled over to this one.
I'm playing on warrior now. That test of valor you guys mentioned with the big jet pack dudes, foot soldiers, and rocket launcher dudes. I didn't find that all that hard. I mean I died my 1st try but one the second with healing once. I took out the rocket dudes 1st with Izuna drops, flying swallows, and a little improvisation when needed. then killed the foot soldiers the same way and also heavy use of ultimate techniques, then the big guys I ate up with ultimate techniques.
the bosses are what seem easier to me, but it's mostly the large bosses that the arrows are used to kill. I'm not complaining... warrior is basically this game normal and I am deffinately being kept on my toes.
the big thing now is the game still seems frantic but not as chaotic now that I'm adapting to it. it's so fun. really I live for games like this.

So Do I, Melee Combat based games like Devil May Cry, God Hand, God of War and Ninja Gaiden are the best for me.Strider77 wrote:this games not that hard really if you've played through black.

You can also get loads more karma on this game, I have 19.5 million on my 1st playthrough on Warrior and Im just starting Chapter 13.
What you got so far Strider??. I agree that the bosses are alot easier in this game than Black, Falcons Talons do the most damage I think
I started on Warrior and I've gotten Master Ninja on each stage I've finished but the first, which was probably due to adapting to the feel of it. It seems like they changed the timing on the counters
It seems easier, but I think that's because of all the time I put in to Ninja Gaiden and Black. The only boss I have had problems with was the samurai glow worm guy, and after a while I beat him pretty handily.

question for those that beat it.
I played this at home on my system alot, but today after work I picked up my game save on a buddies system.
I went through the jungle chapter and about 2 chapters after that on his system. When I did I noticed alot of frame rate dips. Not just frame hiccups hear and their but full on frame drops that stayed around. Has anyone else had severe frame drops like this? When I got home I noticed nothing major on my system. Is his system causing those dips or are those chapters have issues like that? i have no past saves to try those missions on my console now.

Wait till you get to the stairs, the game almost grinds to a halt if you are UTing all the timeStrider77 wrote:question for those that beat it.

It's definitely not as polished as the original, that's for shizzle.DBH87 wrote:

I've actually seen slowdown prior to that...
RABBLE RABBLE RABBLE!!!!!!
it's not suppose to slow down THAT much though is it? like I'm talking the whole time I was in a area in the jungle chapter even without enemies.
Damn Tim, you know there are quite a few Americans out there who still lives in tents due to this shitty economy, and you're dropping loads on a single game which only last 20 min. Do you think it's fair? How much did you spend this time?
I've heard different things about slowdown. A friend of mine thats beat it claims he didn't see any at all. I've seen some, but its very rare and brief. And then some talk about the game slowing to a crawl. It only really slowed down for me on some stairs leading up when enemies were everywhere.
Anywho, I'm on Chapter 12 right now. I haven't been able to put in as much time as I would like, but I am definitely loving this game. Easily the best action game that has been made to date. The gameplay just flows so damn well, and some of the areas you fight in are just insanely badass. I can't wait to start playing this on Mentor and Master Ninja since I hear they do change up the enemies on the higher difficulties. Great game.
Oh, one more note:
I can't believe how well balanced the weapons are. In most games I would just find a favorite and stick with it, but in this one, now that I've leveled all of them up, I find myself switching weapons constantly to fight different enemies. Very well done.

Only 2 weapons i hardly use are the Lunar and the sickle n chain (although I love the Ultimate Techniques for both)jp wrote:I've heard different things about slowdown. Weapon that got most use is probably the Falcons Talons, great for bosses

WHERE THE FUKK IS THE ROLL!
Downloaded demo, agree great game etc play mechanics etc. love weps.
But I really miss the roll dodge akin to NGB, side step evade is obviously more natural but I loved that roll evasion. I see UT tecs are much easier to pull off now.
I can't wait to own it, I'll be ramping the difficulty up though.

I just restarted my game.... was at the end but just wasn't ready for it to be over. Plus I wanted to replay those missions I played at my buddies house on my 360.
starting over isn't even a painful experience.... lol, the 1st stages are easy to own now that I'm up to speed with the game.

Honestly, I didn't see any slowdown in the jungle.
Anyways, I'm on the last chapter now. God I hate those spider robots.

Yeah, I keep forgetting about the charge attack. You might as well just beat it. If you finish the game, you unlock new game+. This lets you replay the game on the same difficulty, keeping all your weapons, upgrades, ninpo, etc. This is how you get the single weapon achievements (beating the game using only 1 weapon).Strider77 wrote:I just restarted my game.... was at the end but just wasn't ready for it to be over.
