Bippity! Boppity! Boo!
Black Hole + Tron are both amazing I think. I LOOOOVE them.
Best cartoons were probably..... they're all pretty good plus pretty bad. If I want cheese and thrills I'll watch one. If I want cheese and sentimentality, I'll watch a Don Bluth cartoon. If I just want sentimentality, I'll watch a Ralph Bakshi cartoon.
When I was a little kid, I thought 2000 leagues under the see was called "Too many legs under the sea"
My Grampa made Snow White (he was the cameraman).

Expect the KH fanboys any minute now.Ed Oscuro wrote:Speaking of Disney licensed games, there's a good number that are alright! Mickey Mania is good; Aladdin on the Genesis too (Sony Imagesoft, maybe? I think the SNES ver. was by Capcom, haven't tried it out).

Alice, Peter, and Tron. Always.
Not to mention Castle of Illlusion, Duck Tales (probably my favorite), Lion King, etc. all of the Capcom ones are pretty good, as are most of the Virgin and Sega ones.

We here shall not rest until we have made a drawing-room of your shaft, and if you do not all finally go down to your doom in patent-leather shoes, then you shall not go at all.

I don't think anyone has mentioned Hunchback of Notre Dame yet, that's one of my favorites from the "modern" bunch of movies...of course, the really old ones, in terms of what had to be done to produce one, impress me the most overall (Pinocchio comes most immediately to mind, though Alice in Wonderland's not too far behind it).
As far as TV shows are concerned, I used to watch DuckTales, Rescue Rangers, TaleSpin, and Darkwing Duck religiously when I was in elementary school, though I haven't seen them in ages...I was into Gargoyles too, though even back then I thought it got stupid later on when they started adding in random stuff (so the quiet, taciturn butler is actually an uncontrollable rogue of a Shakespearean elf? O-kay...).
Haven't seen enough live-action stuff to comment.

Yeah, there's a surprising amount of genuinely good stuff. Pretty much all of Capcom's NES Disney games are gold, the two Ducktales games being particularly nice. They even got a pretty decent shmup out of Talespin!Ed Oscuro wrote:Speaking of Disney licensed games, there's a good number that are alright! The 1995 released OAV anime of Miyuki-chan in Wonderland is just pure off-the-wall campy fun infused with CLAMP's trademarked female character design aesthetics. It's only 30 minutes in duration and very easy on the eyes...doctorx0079 wrote:ewNecronopticous wrote:Alice in Wonderland just makes me hard.
tmi
what about miyuki-chan in the wonderland
Even when Miyuki-chan does figure out how to open the talking door without a keyhole, she does get quite a handful... ^_~

Mega-Drive version of Alladin was made by Virgin. It also got Amiga, PC and Game Gear versions. It's from the same studio that made THe Lion King and The Jungle Book, both being also very good (But Alladin is the best). They also made Global Gladiators which is awesome (And it's a licensed game too, but it's from McDonald's). Alladin from Virgin is also a better than Alladin from Capcom (Even though the Capcom one is also pretty good).Bill wrote:Yeah, there's a surprising amount of genuinely good stuff. And it's true, most Disney-based videogames are really good, from the back of my mind I can't remember a single one that's actually bad (Well, Fantasia is usually regarded as a bad game, but I disagree). I wonder they had some quality check before allowing those games to be released?
And Quackshot is bloody brilliant.

Three actually. The SNES got a game from Hudson, while the Genesis got two from SunSoft (one focusing on Belle, the other focusing on The Beast... a girl game and a boy game basically).Zebra Airforce wrote:I think I remember Beauty and the Beast being a pretty terrible game? Awesome. Just give her the shrinking potion after you have it in. *Squeeky squeeky*Lordstar wrote:I fucked a girl in a allice in wonderland costume a while back. . That was awesome

I forgot about 101 Dalmatians! A few months ago I watched it for the first time in years. It's a better movie than I remembered.
Also, the Platinum Edition DVD of Sleeping Beauty will be released later this year, I think. I don't remember anything about Sleeping Beauty, though (other than Maleficent).

I think Snow White had some multi layers going on? (havn't seen it in forever). My grampa's beyond all troubles now, but he used to have a big scrapbook full of cells and junk from back then. Before Snow White, they made a cartoon called Flowers and Trees that was his first one, I think. Anyways, he was friend with Walt Disney. He also saw Poncho Villa when he was a kid.Lordstar wrote:you do know cartoons are not real right? Ha ha just kidding i know what ya mean.
