That might be because Raiden III is not rewritten for PC, but enclosed in an emulator. If that is so, it merely emulates the slowdown exhibited by the original software the code is written for.

I apologize for the uber bump, but I've been in a mood to play Zillion Beatz lately, I wanna play unbelievable again and see how I do.
I'm having the issue of the .exe file giving me an error whenever I try to start it, but I installed all the East Asian Languages through Control Panel, set the Language in the Advanced tab for Regional Language settings to both Japanese and United States English on seperate boots, with both giving me the error code. Any japanese fonts I could see are checked in the box for the code page conversion tables. I'm running windows xp.
I'm at wit's end trying to figure out why I can't get this to run on a different computer here, is there anyone that could help me, maybe there's still some japanese font I'm missing or something?

Maybe you've already tried it, but did you attempt to run the game through AppLocale? Even with the fonts installed I have to run some games through it to get them to even start.

Yea, not even applocale is saving me here. I tried all 4 of the japanese options on the bottom for the language selection and nothing happened. I suppose I'll compare this computer to another xp computer that I know it works on and see whats missing.
EDIT: Got it working finally. I just downloaded the 1.30 update patch for xp mentioned earlier again even though I already did when I originally got the game. I guess the .exe file I had got corrupt or something while I transferred it through several storage devices...

I can't get Pladzma to run at a decent speed on either of my 'puters. Does anyone have a copy of the Pladzma110Ls.lzh (note the Ls) patch that, as far as machine translation tells me, is for slower computers? The Rezetia site does not appear to be functional and while the wayback machine provided the normal v1.1 patch, it doesn't have the Ls patch anywhere in the archives.
