silent running is also a cool sci-fi movie with a hippie twist

Johnny wants to go home!
Yes the Planet of the Apes original is awesome. The music score is perfect, really creates the atmosphere. The film is powerful, with the message being just as relevant today as it was in the late 60s.Anyway, no one's mentioned The Planet of the Apes. Best movie ending ever, unfortunately universally spoiled now.
he i was trying to remember that space hunter film another good cheesey post apoc desert one that...DEL wrote:Nice to see people have mentioned Rowdy Roddy Piper's

One bit of decent cheese to add:
Space Hunter Adventures in the Forbidden Zone
I bought Soylent Green this year - features a Space War cab.

So its a remake of a remake - Great! That really sums up the laziness and lack of creativity that is the 00'swatched I Am Legend yesterday and find it awesome. Found out that it is a remake of Omega Man which is a remake of Last Man On Earth, so I want to get those too.

^I have to throw that one back at youFans of original series should be banned from watching remakes. They are fundamentally unable to appreciate a successful remake. I've never seen the original series, and the remake is by far some of the best TV i've ever seen (along with Dexter).
DEL wrote:I only wrote one line about Galactica's RAZOR. The full story is that I loved the BSG new series intro and series 1 & 2 (new series). Series three got bogged down in character infidelities and generally lost the plot.
DEL wrote:As you can see from the avatar ->The ORIGINAL Battlestar Galactica! The new one started well and has gone steadily downhill since.

Fix'd.On Battlestar Galactica, unsane wrote:DEL wrote:I'm not judging the original, i'm only judging the new series. And it is mind-blowingly horrible.
Yeah it looks like they were remaking it. I hate the idea of remakes of course, for the simple fact that they are lazy moneyspinners with no original thought. The visuals and script are already there to copy, tweak and fob-off onto today's younger generation. Its the same in today's mainstream music industry.Time has not been good to Logan's effects (granted, they were considered outdated when the movie came out), but the story is strong as ever.
Weren't they remaking it?
that movie is kinda crappy but i like watching it for some reason. i got the uncut dvd a few months ago...Hardware (M.A.R.K.-13)
Damn Tim, you know there are quite a few Americans out there who still lives in tents due to this shitty economy, and you're dropping loads on a single game which only last 20 min. Do you think it's fair? How much did you spend this time?
