Yea the encore would be sweet but i have a USA system. I think it would be overkill though. How my mind works is if I already have a game, why buy it twice - I could buy a new title I don't have yet. I guess I am too practical.

Well I'm probably most proud about that I now own all true shmups released on PS2 in Japan.

Other than that I like my Shikigami no Shiro collection:
Shikigami No Shiro I (special pack with figure)
Shikigami No Shiro II (special pack with figure)
Shikigami No Shiro - Original Soundtrack
Shikigami No Shiro II - Original Soundtrack
Shikigami No Shiro II Appreciate DVD

(all japanese versions ofcourse ;), oh and btw I'm looking for a Shikigami I special pack that has the box in mint condition, because my current one is in a bit bad shape, feel free to send me a PM if you have one for sale)

NM-Encore is an all new 6th title from Namco for the PS1 that contains Rolling Thunder, SkyKid, Dragon Sabre (2P sequel to Dragon Spirit), King and Balloon, Motos, Rompers, and Wonder Momo. I don't think any of these were released for the earlier NM packs (all of which are great).

Oh yeah! I forgot to mention that I recently found a complete/mint conditioned copy of the original R-Type for the Sega Master Syetem. I only paid $5 for it!

I got a sealed copy of 'Rez' for the dreamcast but i dunno how rare this is? I know that the PS2 version goes for quite a bit and i'd have guessed that the DC version would be at least as rare-does anyone know?

Apart from that, 'Battle Garegga' on the saturn or 'SOTN' for ps1 are probably the most collectable games i've got.

I don't have many shooters that are VERY rare or VERY expensive. Got Gleylancer, complete and in exellent condition for about 30 bucks though which is a great price for a game that's such rare and sought after.

I have several "rare" things in my collection:

Rez (Japanese version with Trance Vibrator)
Dracula X: Rondo of Blood (actual Japanese version, NOT a burn)
Akumajyou Dracula X: Gekka no Yasukyobu (Saturn)
Namco Museums 1-5 plus Namco Museum Encore
Macross 2036 (Turbo Duo, very decent shooter)
Panzer Dragoon Saga
ZanacXZanac
Sin & Punishment
I also own M.U.S.H.A., Super Aleste, and Robo Aleste, have a copy of Macross: Scrambled Valkyrie, Lords of Thunder on poth the Sega CD and my Turbo Duo, Gate of Thunder (which just happens to be on the disk with Gates of Thunder/Bonk's Adventure/Bonk's Revenge on it), and a copy of Sidearms on Turbo Duo CD. I also have a bunch of Saturn Shmups which I guess could be considered "rare-ish":
Batsugun
Battle Garegga
Blast Wind
Capcom Generation 1 (1942, 1943, 1943 Kai)
Darius Gaiden
Donpachi
Dodonpachi
Galactic Attack
Guardian Force
Gunbird
Hyper Duel
Image Fight & XMultiply
Kingdom Grandprix
Layer Section II
Macross: Do you remember love?
Radiant Silvergun (which I picked up for $34.99 when I worked at Electronics Boutique, a long time ago)
Sengoku Blade: Sengoku Ace Episode II
Shienryu
Sonic Wings Special
Soukyuugurentai
Strikers 1945
Strikers 1945 II
Thunderforce V
Twinbee Deluxe Pack
Twinkle Star Sprites

I guess that's it for right now.

I'm trying to get all of the U.S. release PSX shooters as possible.

For my PSX:
Raycrisis
Raystorm
Strikers 1945 (II)

Soon, I'm going to look for Einhander (don't matter if it's import or U.S version). I'm going to look for Raiden Project, R-Type Delta, and any other shooters as possible.

Anything rare, Kiken beats me to it by a mile :( I've pretty much only gotten NA releases of JPN stuff:

However, I have:
- Gradius board game :)
- LE Gradius II Vic Viper model :)
- "Gradius" and "Gradius's Option" Yu-Gi-Oh cards ;) [got to bother to look for the Big Core and moai heads later]

...I feel so wannabe

There were 2 games on this system apparently. Crystal Kings (A dungeons and dragons type thing) and a soccer game.

Arcade PCB's

Raiden Fighters series (each with motherboard & cartridge - no swapping!)
RF
RF2
RFJet
VP1

Dodonpachi II: Bee Storm

Saturn

48/55 Saturn shooters (just lacking the really bad/weird ones like Planet Joker, Air Choanki, Terracresta 3D, etc.)

Ebay highlights:
Metal Black - $0.99 (mint condition; complete with spine)
Soukyugurentai - $21
Blast Wind - $24
Hyper Duel - $55

Playstation

about 35 shooters

highlights:
Gaia Seed - $55
Dodonpachi - $60
Harmful Park - $40 shipped for brand new/sealed copy
Zanac X Zanac - $50 shipped for brand new/sealed copy

A few good deals, but they required a lot of patience & luck.

I just found out about those cards from my wife's little brother. He's actually going to give me his card that supposedly has the Vic Viper on it. He didn't even know it was from another video game until i asked him if he wanted to play Gradius V. A little into the game he's like, "Hey! I know this ship now - this things on my Yu-gi-oh cards!"

Crystal of King's is alright huh? It's got some personality, and gets better and better towards the end I think.
I'll have to check out that socker game. I wish you said there was some lost shmup for it :D

I like it, but then I'm in love with Golden Axe :D Sadly no shooters were made for this nifty little system. You would not believe how small it is!
