G.Darius ver.2 is just a tweaked revision of G.Darius - scoring fixes etc.sven666 wrote:well i know ive read somewhere that ver.2 was 3 screens, coupled with the fact that ive never seen it for sale anywhere, maybe it never got released?
There is no three-screen support, so don't cream your pants over it. ^_-

!
I was hooked on the Darius cab when it first appeared in London's Golden Nugget arcade. We also played a fair bit of Sagaia, including the prototype. Sagaia was the double screen that my mate KAC put his fist through in the Trocadero arcade. Loudest SMASHING of glass I ever heard!
We played Ninja Warriors on that setup too.
It was ZUNTATA that really made those games awesome.
Warrior Blade never appeared in the London arcades.
That 3 X Megalo 50s setup posted by ARCADIA is indeed awesome
.
Bloodflowers - I remember you telling me that you sold your Ninja Warriors cab. Its true that it must have taken up A LOT of space, but its a real piece of history

I did the same. Arcade cab porn basically. I'm drooling all about it.szycag wrote:I made that last Darius custom cab picture my desktop. Sometimes I feel like ending it all, but this picture keeps me goin. I spent about 20 minutes just staring at it last night.
So - anyone guess how it might work? 3 separate PCBs running slightly ahaed/behind so it all fits together like a jigsaw puzzle? But then how would you move your ship from one screen to another? Can you even do that?

This it what Darius II looks like (Dual screen version, I presume). I don't get it, how does this work? Obviously one PCB per screen, but what about the other parts?

Another thing about Darius II in Mame. Button 3 has the game slow down, what is the purpose of this? Was it on the original board, and if so, why?
