Yeah I'm pretty sure thats how I do it every time, but whatev, I'll just try again. I don't understand how my date got erased neither though. I really don't get it. I don't think it has anything to do with the DS. I think there is a problem with my game. Hopefully I can find one for cheap... cause I really don't wanna spend 30 bucks on this again.Kaspal wrote:thats weird... i usually play the game, go to the main menu and then turn off the console, and every time i come back to paly, my scores and all are there... so, try it that way... but, still weird, since, thats not volatile memory, so your saves shouldnt get erased! (actually, im still wondering if theres a way to reset the challenges... the scores its possible, i think, but the challenges, are not...)Stadic wrote:This game looks great. Looks like they tried to go with the whole Border Down thing. But yeah, I have the first one. But from some reason when when I play ti and then I turn it off, all my data get erased. I donno why it happens, just one day when I decided to play it all my data was gone. :sign: but anyway... can't wait for this one.
i remember buyin this one prettty cheap, for the palce i live in (17 bux, when normally, a DS game cost 50)...........
Nanostray 2 - it's finally out in the stores
it should be at a bargain price now, since the game its kinda old and unpopular...
now, you're talkin about data erased from your console?... you meanin tha t you have to set up your bDay and all that (like it was the 1st time you're turnin on the NDS)?... if so, call nintendo user service or somethin...

try contacting nintendo, if your game is still within 12(?)months of purchase they will replace it for free proabably and if not they might do so for a small fee. you do have to have the game that belongs to your region and it needs to be an original (no fake one), ofcourse.Stadic wrote:I think there is a problem with my game. are there fake copies of NDS games (Slot1 based and all)?? ... cuz, i've seen fake copies of NDS games around, but they are Slot2 based, and they need the NDS to be flashed to work (i wont EVER do that to my lil polar white)....eretsua wrote:try contacting nintendo, if your game is still within 12(?)months of purchase they will replace it for free proabably and if not they might do so for a small fee. you do have to have the game that belongs to your region and it needs to be an original (no fake one), ofcourse.Stadic wrote:I think there is a problem with my game. No... just the game. The game erases the memory every time I shut it off. I tried it again last night and still had the same problem. The game is way over a year old, I got this around the time it came out. I donno how this happened.Kaspal wrote:it should be at a bargain price now, since the game its kinda old and unpopular...

There are some new screens on the official page of NS2. Nothing special, but well...better than nothing. Looks still kinda promising.

I want to play this. This is what will make me buy a DS.
While i'm not a big fan of shoot 'em ups on handhelds, this looks like its gonna be a winner. I hope Arika/Cave is taking notes.

Screens are nice and all, but I hadn´t seen that trailer before either (missed out on this thread I guess).
And to put it mildly: I am impressed with what I see!
Especially the horizontal stages look extremely well (and fun) and are a most welcome addition to the game as far as I can judge from the video.
If they get the weapon selection thing right this time (no touchscreen) and manage to make it a little more challenging this could be a winner.

I finally got around to watching this trailer.
Firstly, I must say I loathed the first Nanostray. However, I admit this trailer looks to have fixed many of the problems of the first one, good enough that I may (very likely) give Shin'en a second chance with my cash. Looks like I may have to pre-order again if I want the local shop to get any copies at all..

wow, i'm impressed. the backgrounds look really good! it's very reminiscent of games like gradius (v) and r-type. am a bit worried about the changing orientations but it does seem like a fun game. also an arkanoid-ish mini game?
i'll be pre-odering this, yes, looking forward to this game!
btw, anyone if japan will get their "danshaku 2"?

About the damn time. Looks like I finally have enough reasons to get a DS.Herr Schatten wrote:Looks really good. Obviously they listened to suggestions from shmup fans and ditched the pseudo-3D view.
No matter how good a game is, somebody will always hate it. No matter how bad a game is, somebody will always love it.

Massive agreement. Best music I have ever heard in a GBA game. Too bad I got rid of my Nanostray. The controls and scoring were driving me a bit mad, I could not get over 300000 points, even if I tried for Valor.FrederikJurk wrote:Graphics and music are the least things we have to worry about. If anything, Nanostray and Iridion 2 were technically perfect in this department.
Adventure mode sucks. Once you beat the Challenge mode, the best part of Nanostray is it's Arcade mode. That's the true scoring mode and what you put on the worldwide scoreboards (game gives you a code after beating the level). Now if you know all of this, pay no attention to this message.Lawfer wrote:I played the first one and beated it in like an hour, it was really bland lol
A month later probably, but yeah.eretsua wrote:btw, anyone if japan will get their "danshaku 2"?

Just reading this makes me very confident that this game is going to be good. This guy really cares about quality.Peter Weiss wrote:Because of technical constraints, displaying the level across both screens would have meant a frame rate reduction to 30 instead of the planned 60 frames per second. We would have also had to sacrifice 50% of the video memory and that would have adversely affected the texture quality. We believe that fast shooters only work properly with a fluent 60 frames per second. Because of the gap between the two screens, perfect and seamless gameplay would have been hard to achieve.
ARMS INSTALLATION COMPLETE. We don´t know how deep they are into modern top-class shmups, but at least they have the classic down. Mentioning Ikaruga, R-Type and Gradius V is good enough, but hinting at the (lesser-known) Axelay is saying "Look here guys, we really know what shmups are".Regulus wrote:Heh, I like the heading on the third section of the dev blog.

That's Shin'en. Though at times they try for graphics and sound, they are still quality. And apparently this time for round 2. They seem to have done the same for Iridion.FrederikJurk wrote:Just reading this makes me very confident that this game is going to be good. That's true. Now if they start talking Parodius...ARMS INSTALLATION COMPLETE. We don´t know how deep they are into modern top-class shmups, but at least they have the classic down. It´s also interesting to know that while Nanostray was their first game for the DS, NS2 is actually going to be their FIFTH. The games between the shooters are mostly licensed, more kid-oriented stuff, so they are going the "get money from well-known licenses to afford developing niche games" route.
