Pink Sweets has an Extended Mode, Harder Mode and a Score Attack (all bosses mode). Modes are code activated in the same manner as Ibara etc.

^ you know what's even funnier? i once saw a scoreboard where some jp dude signed as AST-ZAP(no kidding). then again, there are only so many letters in the alphabet...

re: DP - im not sure, but i think the 30m/1st round bit means that's the kind of score he would get on a perfect run with his current strategies (ie. "putting all pieces together").
also, as you may know, DaytonaIII is a bit of a replay factory (Ikaruga, Ketsui, Gunbird II, BlazingStar,..), so everybody's most audacious dream (DDP PROFESSIONAL VOL 5, FOR REAL), might finally become, well, reality. keep your fingers crossed...

re: raiden DX, practice mode - it seems like player NMT achieved a 20.8+M score. he "only" reached stage 3-8 (vs. 4-2) however. also, not sure if the score was submitted before 19/09 or 19/10.

...

btw, this thread got an average of 400 views per post (which i guess means there's quite some interest), so please feel free to post more arcadia top scores - either from the current issue, the last issues (ie. #76-79 [skip ikaruga and shikiIII]), or from the one that comes out next month (just give this thread a bump). thanks in advance, etc.

Of course, and that JGK for Strikers 1945 is actually JCK, that G is a typo

Wow, that's great. How does one get submitted to Arcadia / Gamest record, by the way?

Edit: Also, when does Gemant plan on updating his record database? Will it be anytime soon?

No wait, sorry, it was a joke
I guess the confusion came from the fact that RF2 actually owns Pink Sweets ;)

About the record database: last time I asked gemant he was busy, so I don't know...

You must acheive the score in an Arcade in Japan.

Ah, I was asking because I wasn't sure since I've seen some people get added to the record listing via MAME replay or somesuch. For example, BBH has been added to the list for Shock Troopers.

Code: Select all

SHOCK TROOPERS (MAME REPLAY) LORD BBH 37.669.300 (LEVEL 8 SETTING = 37.768.300)

I'd be interested to see if that was in an Arcadia/Gamest, or if the people running the Italian site just added that to the list because they were aware of it. I'd bet on the latter.

I'm sure someone (like oxtsu) with access to Arcadia or Gamest magazines could clear it up for us?

Yep, Gemant's list is not exactly a Gamest/Arcadia list, but more a WR list. If you have a verified (in example from MARP) WR .inp you can be added.

Edit: Gemant just told me that some extra scores were added to his list. I'm referring to scores recorded on VHS that Gemant has seen or is aware of, or mame replays like the one of BBH. The important thing is that those extras are not sobstitutes for the gemant/arcadia scores, they are on the list just for comparison.

From what I have heard, no video was made and there are no plans to make a video.

Yes, Gemant list is more WR.

PS. I will beat in future Makyou Senshi again, it's easy. I must do it because for this recording I used not secure MAME version and someone can think that it is fake (it's not fake otherwise). I want to made replay in secure version MAME (wolfmame). But now I work on DDP.

You mean DP or really DDP? If so, what's your goal? :D

Hehe, both are my goal. DDP - finish on one coin, DP - double my score (40-50mln). I decide to start DDP first but in the same time I will slowly start work on DP.
It isn't good to play one game still. I could be crazy then ;)

Wow, really. It would be a pleasure to watch a DDP 2-ALL, I'm definitely more interested in this than the DP stuff (still absolutely impressive, of course). Keep us posted if you want!
